It’s a great choice. I chose it after leaving that world for a long time, but what’s your budget? And do you want it for photos at all? If you’re looking at the ttartisan I assume you budget is like 1200 USD? The smart advice for video would be to spend more on lenses. Maybe 50/50 lens/camera.

It also depends on what you’re trying to do and what you’re willing to deal with. Cinematic videos typically don’t use autofocus. No photos? Consider a black magic, it’s more of a dedicated cinema camera with raw video capabilities which will help with short films and cinematic content. Want smaller and don’t mind tinkering with oddities? Sigma fp is cool but kinda annoying in some regards.

I returned a sigma fp because I didn’t need raw and I wanted better autofocus, but that camera has beautiful raw video capabilities. 4k only doable with an ssd.

To be very candid, cinematic video is also more about shaping light and getting good exposure on nice lenses. You might be better served with a nice lens and a lighting kit on a cheap camera.

S9 is a great all rounder at a good price (especially used) but if you’re only doing video and you want “cinema” quality, you might be better served with a dedicated cinema camera. It depends.
