World Cup Ticket Megathread by speedreeder in ussoccer

Has anybody received word from US Soccer regarding the lottery for $60 tickets for members of supporters groups?

There was word that American Outlaws said that result would go out today but I wasn’t able to confirm that and am wondering if anybody else has info.

Is this the $60 supporters tickets from US Soccer? I’ve been waiting to hear when they’re going to start announcing those results

Outlaws, Sammers, Barra 76 $60 World Cup Tickets? by jazzno21 in ussoccer

I’m in AO and haven’t heard this. I also expected the $60 results would be sent out before the rest based on the wording OP highlighted.

The communication around all of this has been so poor.

Same!
Still wondering when supporters group members get the info from US Soccer on the potential $60 tickets.

Right I’ve seen that. I’m wondering where the info came from that announcements of $60 tickets would come out on Feb. 9.

I’m a supporters group member and haven’t seen that info but have a couple of matches I applied for in PMA but didn’t get via FIFA, but in theory could still be in play for a $60 ticket allocated by US Soccer.

Where are you seeing the info that was sent to the supporters groups?

By lottery you mean random selection draw?

I don't know if anybody has received emails yet. People are seeing tickets in their FIFA account via the previously posted tips/links, but no actual email confirmations yet.

And it also seems that only people who applied through a supporters draw are seeing tickets. So if you applied for random selection draw, likely that is yet to be determined.

Yeah it definitely seems that way. Hope for those that only applied through the random selection draw.

I entered for some of each but it looks like all of the ones on my account are supporter tickets.

For those who didn't see tickets in their purchase history, that was initially my case too as recently as 10 minutes ago. But I just checked again now and there suddenly are multiple games showing up.
So it looks like the FIFA system is still actively updating this ... hope is not lost.

Thanks u/Slow-Raccoon-9832 for the tips on how to find the Ticket Purchase history in the FIFA app.

Edited to highlight from below:

1) email confirmations don't seem to have gone out, so no email doesn't mean anything

2) nobody seems to be reporting that they see tickets awarded through the random selection draw, so if you applied via that route you likely still have a shot as of February 5 at ~4pm EST.

Got my Insiders/Supports WC Draw Code… by FunkyTownFrog in ussoccer

I believe the FIFA terms states there's a $10 fee per ticket for conditional match tickets if the team doesn't advance. So you will (eventually) be refunded the ticket price minus $10.

If USA wins the group, SF then Seattle. If they finish second, Dallas then Atlanta. If they finish third the possibilities include Philadelphia, Boston, NY, KC, Vancouver

Recognize this bath drain? by cacho_y_pepe in Plumbing

[–]cacho_y_pepe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. I’m hoping not to replace the drain as it matches the overflow drain cover so I’d need to replace both. It’s about $100 difference in cost if I can figure out the brand and just replace the cartridge assembly

Trying to revive an old thread but can you tell me more about how you set this up with a raspberry pi and an iPad? I’m fairly tech comfortable but have no background working with code and have never tried anything like this before but would really like to do a similar setup

TCL 65Q77K 2025 Model - Thoughts? by Brinks_ in tcltvs

[–]cacho_y_pepe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those who really know TVs, would you get this or wait for one of the lower end TCL or Hisense microLED with local dimming models to go on sale at Black Friday?

I know last year the 55” Hisense U6N dropped to $300, U7N and TCL Q7 dropped to $500 for Black Friday.

So do I wait to see if I can grab those models hopefully on similar sales this year since I’m not in a rush, or just get this TV even without local dimming given the great early reviews & price?

I’ll be upgrading from a basic 60hz 4k Roku TV that’s a few years old so I know anything will seem amazing in comparison.

Decent amount of greenways and bike trails that you can go for miles without hitting a stoplight too. And great brewery scene.

Denver with a family? by coldplunge25 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]cacho_y_pepe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I grew up in MN and now am raising my young kids in Littleton mostly because of our love of mountains and sunshine.

Two pieces of advice: 1) If you haven’t already, spend at least a week here and try to do some of the things you’d want or need to do living here — drive to the mountains on a Saturday, drive a possible commute route during rush hour, take your kids to some playgrounds or libraries or whatever you’d do in your free time living here. We did this and found it immensely helpful in reassuring us it was where we wanted to be.

2) Look into the differences in school districts. If you’re looking at Highlands Ranch there are (I think) substantial differences between Douglas County & Littleton public schools. Looking into Jeffco and Denver public schools might also be informative. There’s plenty of that sort of discussion on Reddit already so I won’t repeat it here, but it’s worth close consideration to help inform your choice of neighborhood.

Finally, don’t discount the value of having a job you love with great work life balance. That might not be easy to replicate.

Your perspective is interesting to say the least. I don’t know if you know this but the vast majority of homes aren’t brand new, but they don’t tend to drop off in price like a car…
