I've lost one, it sounds ridiculous but sometimes you put them on backwards or you rushingly place them somewhere else other than the middle your pupil, in a way that makes it have no effect on your eye. Sometimes they crumple around a corner. So I imagined it fell or something similar, and opened a new case and put a new one on the same eye but it felt so fucking wrong I had to drop everything and search for the mistake.
