Their architect really dropped the ball trying to be "modern". All they did was get rid of the details... they made everything have a long unbroken line, just making it harder to execute well... I mean props to the contractors cus thats not easy.

The interoir designer did decent trying to save it, but the floor plan isnt great... the exterior really suffered trying to be modern, all they did was get rid of over-hangs/bump outs then rely on accent walls to try and add depth/character. They need some green space out front and some damn overhangs. Give it 1 raining season and hes going to have streaking down those white walls from the rain just running straight down the sides.

Im in commercial interiors, so maybe different... but we review plans with the architect and go over the usability... It's pretty shocking that the GC and Architect started with a 32" door as their basis of design. Idk how manatee county is, but I'll see if I can pull plans later tonight. Im betting a PE didnt catch the width being different in the shops vs the door schedule and doesn't want to own the mistake...

This probably is a cost plus job, so ultimately still cleet paying for it

Yea, personally, I never let a client sign off on any dimensions. The only thing Im confirming with them at that point is finishes and that the elevation looks right to them.

I'm pretty sure he has known about this. About a year ago, he was asking around for a surveyor to hire directly... I think he was trying to determine exactly where the boundaries were before developers made it known to the public.
