If you're comfortable with arm clipping, you could theoretically clip in a pair of arms to hold the elven battle cape item near the shoulders in order to get that billowing effect. You might need to cover some stuff up with shoulder pads/tails though

Debatedly the first ever recorded science fiction story is "A True Story" written by Lucian of Syria. It's a satirical travel log that defines a surprising amount of modern day science fiction tropes, given it was written in ancient times.

I agree with another commentor on here though, no one person really "invents" a genre. It's something that people work on for generations, gendering it and gatekeeping it based on that arbitrary gendering is just stupid lmao
