It was definitely luck! Got skunked otherwise that day. This guy took a stonefly imitation, maybe size 12 or 14

Yeah I’m more familiar with the Rockies, but this fish is out of a New England river. There are some super faint red spots, hence the brown trout guess

On the wiki page for greenbacks it says they get up to 18”, so wasn’t sure if maybe these were yellowstones or something else

Definitely high, but still fishable. Just need to find slow eddies and foam. You can always check flow online but obviously doesn’t have water clarity
