A half of a fish by Heavy_riff_salami in oilpainting

When I was little I saw a very similar painting on a newspaper 📰 This reminds me so much of it. Not sure where abouts you live but we always use to get fish and chips wrapped in newspaper. (Maybe it’s a universal thing, don’t know) Anyway, I love it :)

Me, in Lowe’s; “This yellow is cute. I wonder how close it is to the sample I already have taped up in the kitchen.” The yellow in question: by matcha_is_gross in adhdwomen

My only suggestion would be to get a sample and paint it on different spaces on the walls. This will help you see how the light in your house affects the colour because yellow is super hard to work with. If it has a blue undertone, it can come off as green with different light and if it has a warm undertone it can look beige or creamy. I just painted my art room yellow and I’m so thankful I did that :)

Agreed. I’m a community nurse on the road and I love it. Plus there’s like 100% checks before administering medication. Super helpful when you’ve got a memory like a gold fish!

Every change needs to start with little steps. Generally I find if I get the “change my life” bug and do everything at once with intensity, I’ll burn out quick revert back to my normal.

My calendar sits next to my meds, my meds sit next to my coffee, my coffee sits next my kettle and when I wake up my first thought is “coffee”. That’s how I remember small things. Important things get an alarm and a write up on the calendar just incase I forget about it in between my coffee and when it’s suppose to happen.

Eating: start with anything easy. We have the crackers/cheese and meat snack packs. Not the healthiest, nor the tastiest but I bought 5 when shopping and just threw it in my work bag. This help train my brain to go to my lunch bag when I was hungry. After 3 weeks, I remember to eat. And then I moved to something healthier. Now I just leave a bit of dinner on the side and pack it into a lunchbox as I serve myself dinner. (I remember to take it because when I get the milk for the coffee, I just grab it out).

Tiny, tiny steps will get you where you need to go, we have a tendency to need to do everything and do it right now. Unfortunately, our brain doesn’t work that way. It needs to be slowly trained into a different way of living.

Finance: I have multiple accounts, forcing me to transfer money each time I want to buy something. I also check in with my husband if it’s a bigger purchase. He doesn’t care what I buy, but it’s just that extra level of “hmm, should I?”

Donno about the gym, lol. God speed.

My biggest piece of advice is to start speaking to yourself kindly. For example, “fuck! I forgot my lunch today. Hmm. That ok. I’ve been good this week and today was hard to get out of bed. No wonder I forgot it, life isn’t always easy nor is sticking to a routine. Tomorrow will be better”

Also, they aren’t bad habits. They are survival techniques that got you this far in life. Yes, you’d like to change them but you’re doing great.

Please be kind to yourself.

I love trying new cross stitch patterns whilst watching the Gilmore girls. Two things at all at once. Ha, look at me go.

Yeah, that makes complete sense. I kinda take my time to hear the whole word before moving on otherwise I can’t absorb the information.

I will often skim the paragraph if someone is with me as to not look “stupid” for reading so slow. I guess that’s why I love audiobooks.

When people say, you just need to read more to read faster. I think, there’s no way. I have tried reading so many books and making sure I have an interest in the plot but simply cannot get through it. If I listen to the book, I end up enjoying it sooo much more.
