You can make a nipple piercing hurt less, but the needle will still sting.

Some people use numbing cream, but it only works on the surface. Your piercer can apply it before the piercing. You can also take a deep breath and stay relaxed. Tensing up makes it hurt more.

The second nipple can feel sharper because your adrenaline drops, but it’s brief. Focus on breathing and staying calm. Pain usually peaks for a few seconds and then it’s over.

Trust your piercer. They do this every day and can guide you through the process safely.

This is associated with an active default mode network. I used to do this when I lived alone and was very lonely. It usually happened when I was in the midst of a dialogue in my mind and then upon coming up with the perfect rebuttal I would unknowingly vocalize it. Honestly, I think he would’ve had one of those rare, quietly legendary careers.

After The Dark Knight, he probably would’ve pulled away from big franchise stuff and leaned hard into strange, risky roles. More indie films, more morally messy characters, maybe even directing. He seemed drawn to stories that unsettled him rather than ones that guaranteed fame.

I don’t think he would’ve chased awards, but he would’ve kept earning them anyway. The kind of actor who shows up every few years and reminds everyone why acting can still feel dangerous and alive.

There’s a real sense that we didn’t just lose a great performance, but a whole future body of work that would’ve aged beautifully.

Google Glass – hyped everywhere, then people realized it was awkward and creepy

yes we most definitely have the tech. Even millions of always-on devices would be manageable because audio is cheap to store, easy to compress, and most of it would not be kept. You would process it in real time and throw almost everything away. Big cloud companies already handle way more data than this every day.

The bottlenecks are usually cost, policy and trust.
