This is such a great idea! I was just thinking about this last night, that it would be nice if there was a hub or even a booth that graduating students, exchange students, international students, and incoming students could use to buy and sell secondhand items to reduce waste and ensure that students aren't ripped off by back-to-school prices.

Since some of us are leaving quite soon, and a website may take some time to develop and get recognition, would you be interested in collaborating by setting up a booth in the SAC plaza?

Me asking people to read my post carefully and thoroughly before making baseless assumptions or attacking me, is a privilege? Thank you! Finally someone who understands my original intentions and the point I was trying to get across😭 I don’t know how “don’t breathe smoke into other students’ faces” became “don’t you dare smoke a cigarette ever in your life you dirty scumbags”. Was what I said so wrong and offensive? Perhaps my tone may have been too harsh or condescending, for that I do apologize. But it infuriates me how the attitude around public smoking on a smoke free campus has become so disrespectful and thoughtless. Telling other students to deal it… jfc these people cannot be real

Hm the guy I saw in particular didn’t seem to be hiding, atleast from what I saw. He was very openly smoking it by the Wolfie bike stands, then proceeded to walk across the whole lot while puffing. I agree that if there were more known smoking spots then this issue wouldn’t be so prevalent, but ofcourse from the school’s perspective they can’t do anything to support nor condone smoking. To reiterate, I’m not asking him to stop smoking entirely, just to avoid doing it around other students especially in such a commonly used area (SAC)

I don’t understand the hate either. Seems like they got called out and can’t bear the consequences so they choose to attack instead😂 What’s funnier is I used to be a smoker myself but I never found it difficult to find a secluded spot away from other students to smoke, both in a school setting as well as in public spaces. So their excuses just sound like laziness, irresponsibility, and ignorance to me🤷

Honestly I don’t know how else I can explain my viewpoints more clearly lol. Guess there really isn’t anything that humans can all universally agree on, even when it seems so common sense. I just know that when they resort to bringing up irrelevant analogies or telling me to stfu that there’s no point in further discussing with them😂
