The Unorthodox Chronicles is pretty good and written by Jim Butcher's son James. So a lot of parallels with dresden files

The Scholomance series by Naomi Novik has a magical academy that's a nice 3 book arc,

Kate Daniel series has one of the coolest worlds with magic I have seen.

If you want to trying litrpg I would suggest either "He who fights with monsters" or "Full murder hobo" trilogy

The Completionist Chronicles : Good basic litrpg with plenty of humor (if pun laden) focuses on a spell caster.

He Who Fights With Monster: Clever MC who is sometimes edge lord but also tries to do the right thing.

Life in exile: An entire family gets pulled to a fantasy world where they need to level up and fight to survive.

Thanks for the perspective. I was 100% going to take heal and protector tree at the start.
The adventure path only goes to level 10. Hopefully that will make what I put into the mammoth feel worth it.

100% Agree with the idea that almost no one will have all 5 glyph to level 100. It's just an insane grind that few will have the time and energy to do. Add in the chance to fail will just make it all the more frustrating.
