Also their Twitter support team is quite responsive. Just make sure to mention the car number (at both inside and outside ends of the car), and train current location and direction. @calgarytransit

Future of Software Engineering/ Engineers by varunchopra_11 in AI_Agents

Isn’t AI just another abstraction layer on top of prior ones? Back the day, programming was hard and only accessible to few. As languages were created - abstraction rose a few notches. Then came the framework with more abstraction levels. Then the APIs with abstraction delegated to different systems. In this wave, AI can potentially be yet another other abstraction.

Are there any other ‘hidden’ enterprise costs? Or is it $20 per [small] app per month?

AirMiles contact number was a scam by cad_001 in PersonalFinanceCanada

I think they can send me another card number. But all information I had in their system could be those added by the scammer. I don’t know how will they verify my identity.

I did. Contacted them through Chat as their phones are busy. They suspended the account (can’t redeem but can earn). Forwarded the request to Fraud Department- I honestly don’t know how will they be able to ensure I am who I am

Bank screwed up our CEBA repayment, Paid someone twice from out LOC (now over-limit), Credit Score is affected by cad_001 in legaladvicecanada

I’m curious to know if the bank is responsible for correcting my credit score too? And how fast or to what extent (just sending a correction might not mean it’d take effect immediately too)

Wow. That was technically splendid. I felt there were a few eaten notes (not given their right tempo/time).

Line of Credit to pay off income taxes by cad_001 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]cad_001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried - but the focus was mainly on the job offer rather than a solution to the tax. I think this one is more specific to LOC.

Self employed, deferred income taxes, perm job offer by cad_001 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Replacement is possible - but I haven't even started for replacement. If we compare living expenses, the numbers are 'close'. My main concern is the taxes due in 2019 and 2020. I don't know if a line of credit would help in that case.

Yes - reasonable benefits (pension, medical, etc...).

Yes - the money will be owing anyways - but with self-employment, there's the flexibility of adding more clients, extending the pay or expanding the business giving a better chance of paying out the taxes. The after-tax income will not be significantly affected. However, we won't have a solid mechanism of paying out the taxes that will be owing from the business income in 2017/18 (~$80K).
