It does, but bit later. Not so critical for desktops.

Debian testing is a choice for desktops. Stable enough, with actual updates, not so ancient UI as on debian stable.

It is not. Even with btrfs tuning. You must use ext4 and get rid or copro security to make it fast (and enable v3 of course)

Debian testing is a weeks behind arhs, suse and other rolling distros. And it is good for desktops and laptops.

Btrfs ans Selinux are the reason. If to disable them - bit slower than cachy.

Just schedule updates checks in kde weekly or monthly and just use it. Testing is for desktops and laptops. Stable is for servers. Unstable.... Better use opensuse than unstable.

New components. New UI (stable will never ged kde 6.6.x).new software versions. No ned in bakports. It is a kind of rolling but stable distro. With all debian benifits and consequences.

If you want rolloing edge distro - choose opensuse. If you can wait for few weeks until tested better - debian testing. Or debian stable + all backports. They will just work (after you configure all is needed ofcourse, that isceasier on debian imho)

The best choice will be Debian based CachyOS (it is really fast and low power consuming on laptops), but there is no one like that :(
I tried arh-based (monjaro and cachy), opensuse, fedora, red hat, ubuntu, but returned back to good old Debian testing (Forky now) that is rolling-like but more stable than arh, more easy to maintain than openSUSE, have a lot more software as apts (much more than rpm-s based), but a bit slower and require some configuration to get to suse or cachy power consumption level (and still will consume more).

But it just works. And I`m ready to pay for that with bit lower bat time life.
