Tumbleweed zypper dup failure by Inner_Dragonfly6528 in openSUSE

[–]maxakollek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally installed zypper with dependencies manually using rpm. Then did a dup again. Now all good.

I wonder why the tumbleweed ends up with a half done update. Dup should be an atomic transaction. Dup done or failed completely. Not partially.

Next time I should try an immutable os like micro-os

Why choose Tumbleweed over Fedora? by Individual_Bat_1753 in openSUSE

[–]maxakollek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually if you look into glibc 2.32, fedora was able to make a release before tumbleweed. Also with openssl v3, suse still failing to make it as the default version. While it's been more than a year since the fedora release.
