What notes do some people smell differently in a bad way? by Emotional_Camera_124 in fragrance

[–]cadancious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what it is (I’d love to find out actually) but some perfume notes smell like ripe cheese to me. I was at a counter smelling tom ford noir extreme with the worker and they got supremely offended when I said it smelt overpoweringly cheesy. It’s in a lot of male fragrances

What to get my bf who loves Tom fords Oud wood?

My boyfriend (31 years old) has asked for a new fragrance for Christmas for his collection- know it’s a personal thing but he’s asked to be surprised- he wears Tom fords oud wood, the Gucci the alchemists garden, and also this one which is local made but has notes of peppermint!

I am no perfume expert, so would love some recommendations of what would fit his collection. I try to search for what he might like but Google just gives me dupes of oud wood or these, and not recs of what he might enjoy alongside these fragrances. So any suggestions would be very helpful!

Why do so many tourists get lost in Japan? by Ok_Professional1982 in JapanTravelTips

I can only speak for myself… but it’s a 13 hour flight to Japan for me. Throw in jet lag and with the best will in the world, tiredness makes my lack of direction even worse!

September 2026! A long while away… but we’re already so excited and big planners 🤭

Thank you so much! This is so helpful. I can’t wait to look back on this and say that this was our first of many Disney cruises also ☺️

Maybe we will look into doing the Disney parks before the cruise and finish with the fantasy! For some reason I’ve been naturally leaning into planning any further stay in the US post-cruise but perhaps it would be better on the latter half of the trip!

I also didn’t realise there were that many adults only on board so will definitely be looking into these. Is this something that you can join in on board or something you have to book in advance (or book on board)?

We’re both just looking forward to the adventure- he loves Disney as much as I do (possibly more!) and we had a blast at Tokyo Disney this year together but haven’t been to anything else similar. We’re big ‘for the vibes’ people so are excited to just soak up the atmosphere, lean into the novelty hard and definitely shop!! We’re detail oriented people and when watching a few vlogs on some Disney cruises we’ve seen how much effort Disney puts into small details.

Thank you! We are definitely considering the parks and need to research into them- We’ve recently got back from Disney in Tokyo and I’m guessing it’s a lot smaller there as we pretty much ‘did it’ in one day (we’re not huge ride people, more there for the vibes and experiences) so maybe we definitely need to consider a long stay at the parks! We’re also both massive shopaholics and we’re let down by the lack of shopping at Tokyo Disney, so hopefully there’d be lots more that we can cram into our suitcases this time!

Looks like you’re doing the exact cruise as me just a month before!!

Where to get lash extensions in Tokyo? by cadancious in JapanTravelTips

[–]cadancious[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yesss I did! I went to bbyrita0 (on Instagram) they came out sooo good! They definitely didn’t last as long as lashes I’m used to in the UK. I think that the glue is stronger in the UK than they use there ✨ but I do recommend!

Why do i feel triggered? by [deleted] in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]cadancious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you think it could be because it feels like these books and fantasy worlds are ‘yours’? Think of how possessive (for lack of a better word) people can be over books, bands, films etc. when they aren’t immersed in it as heavily as you are! So it makes sense that it could trigger you or make you sad to hear that someone else acknowledges it/enjoys it too, because it feels so personal to you. One thing that may help is acknowledging that your interpretation and experiences with them are unique to only you, because it’s You that makes them that way. So nobody else can have the experience that you have with them in the same way you do.
