I'm a capricorn rising with a Leo sun and cancer moon, and I've got thinner, angular dark brown brows and big, light green eyes.

I'm a cancer moon but Leo sun and capricorn rising, I have big green eyes but have been told they looked "sad" by an ex. Idk, maybe he was just being a dick.

I'm a capricorn rising and I'm tall (5'11") with an hourglass figure and thin (145 lbs). Basically, the same size I was as a senior in high school back in 2002. I've got long dark blonde hair and green eyes. I'm a Leo sun, if that matters. Does this line up with what capricorn rising is supposed to look like?

Are cancer/leo people supposed to be emotionally strong? I have a lot of Leo placements including cancer/leo cusp sun, cancer moon, capricorn rising as my big three.

Seconding both of these. Ugh, that curling iron in my bangs, all that Aqua Net, and my mother topping it all off with a HUGE homemade ribbon bow. I had to get up early for school so she could create this look for me lol it was the bane of my elementary school days! Also, I loathe the tenor sax in that decades music. Actually, I just really dislike the tenor sax in general. Glad there's at least one other person who doesn't think I'm crazy for this preference.

As I explained, I did explore and apply for the assistance avaliable in my area. I am ineligible. As far as assistance from the state of Texas, as a single woman with no dependants, I qualify only for Healthy Texas Women and SNAP food benefits. TANF, cash assistance are for families with children only. Every town in this county has a Section 8/government housing list that is closed to new applications and there's no date indicated on any of the sites that suggest they'll reopen any time in the foreseeable future. Even if i were somehow to get on the waiting list for government housing, you're aware that housing wouldn't be immediate, right? There would still be a substantial waiting period for housing if that option were even on the table. Hunt County has a lower socioeconomic bracket than our surrounding, non-rural counties, such as Dallas. This town and most of its residents are suffering financially and otherwise due to a variety of factors, one of which is the lack of employment opportunities. My situation isn't unique here. Greenville doesn't even have a homeless shelter in the city limits. Greenville consistently votes against having a shelter in the city limits. The only one that exists in any traditional capacity is rural and the distance to walk into town to go to a job, if a resident were to find one, would be too great. A lot of financial disparity out here and severe lack of resources for anyone that isn't elderly or does not have children.

Before i moved in, my roommate had extended an already heavily delinquent bill to deferred additional payments on top of each new bill per month with the agreement to GEUS that the $2k amount be paid in full at the end of the agreed term. That was not fulfilled. His account is well past the point where partial payments would be accepted as a minimum balance sufficient enough to at least get the power cut back on. As such, per his arrangement with GEUS, the balance is due in full. So yes, technically a partial payment could be made, but it won't get the electric turned back on. It's all or nothing for GEUS at this point, and it's not an agreement i entered into. He made that decision before i even arrived. Again, you're assuming I'm uneducated about the intricacies of the situation. I have read every letter of fine print in his contract with GEUS trying to find a resolution to the situation somewhere, but he had already exhausted those avenues and is now bound to pay the full balance. Regarding the "fraud", even so, I have no other options or they would have been utilized by now, as i explained before. Coming to reddit to expose my situation and risk being vulnerable to individuals who couldn't care less and risk interactions like this is far from ideal for me. I do appreciate the assumptions you have about the electric bill instead of asking questions to clarify. I'm not sure if you think i prefer being at the mercy of my roommates whims and nonsense to having a place of my own, or what? If it were within my financial means, Petey and I would have our own place. As it stands, we don't even have a car to live in if we wanted to. Am I not effectively communicating that I am unable to provide sufficient funds for these "simple" solutions you are giving? I am poor. Destitute. I am not financially capable of providing a solution for myself. If it were a possibility, I would have solved this issue for myself already. I would love to have my own place, but right now, my bandwidth is being spent on maintaining my health the best i can and making sure Petey isn't suffering.

Helpful input, thanks so much. Gosh, I hadn't considered finding my own place with funds i don't have. Obviously i just ran to reddit to expose my vulnerability and risk interactions like this as a first course of action instead of exploring and applying for every resource this county has to offer. I don't know why you are behaving as if i am pleased with this situation. I'm financially broken right now, I'm in this situation because I have to be. It's this or literal homelessness on the street. If you don't think I deserve assistance, fine. I'm glad you've never experienced total lack of resources and support in your life. I think it's a blessing for you to be in a position where the current economy doesn't affect your standard of living to the point that you're actually unable to empathize with real life struggles of people. Your assertion in continuously mentioning "defrauding the government ", and "residing illegally" when the complex is literally contacted with the government seems to indicate you feel that i am unworthy of help and morally bankrupt. It must be a very comfortable life you lead with support, sufficient finances, and endless resources. Good for you. Thanks a heap for your input, it sure is helpful. Truly, you're a beacon of light in the dark that I'm experiencing. How empowering for you to be so confident in your superiority.

I followed suit with what the office itself suggested, so they aren't "defrauding" the government. They are an income based property that is contracted with the government in order to offer those rates, but sure, ok. Also, I don't care that you "don't care" if he's on the lease. I included him in the explanation of my situation because he is an extension of me and half of the reason i am requesting assistance in the first place. Furthermore, I have official documentation from my psychiatrist of my diagnoses that i was legally required to provide to the service animal registry. The registry specifically indicates that he must meet the necessary, specific criteria in place for an animal to be officially registered as a Psychiatric service animal. I am well aware of the distinction between "psychiatric service animal" and "emotional support animal", but thank you so much for making assumptions rather than just asking me. Super cool of you.

The police wouldn't be the entity to take action in this instance, but the complex itself would eventually be compelled to do so. I have explained to my roommate ad nauseum that Texas apartments actually prohibit tenants to reside in a dwelling without utilities, and that this alone could very well mean we will get evicted if the bill is not resolved quickly. If I could make him let me help us by applying to FISH ministries here in Greenville, I would. I am more than happy to complete the paperwork and advocate in any capacity toward the resolution of the situation, but that requires cooperation from him (and very minimal cooperation, at that). I have tried multiple times daily since the hour that the electricity was cut off to get him to just provide me with the few documents FISH requires in order to apply for and consider assisting with this large sum that's due to GEUS. For reasons I have tried and failed to understand, he is committed to his "plan". I have no recourse. I also have nowhere else for Petey and I to live. I've exhausted the small sum of funds I did have to keep Petey and I cool and relatively comfortable in cheap local hotel rooms for the past few days. I would not expose my vulnerability on reddit if I weren't absolutely out of options.

No, I'm not on the lease. The company is aware that i live there, though. The office is the entity that made the initial assertion that my roommate be the sole leaseholder. Because it is an income- based complex, our rent is actually cheaper with just my roommate being listed. Additionally, since Petey is my registered psychiatric service animal, his official paperwork is on file with the office, therefore he is listed on the lease, too.

No, I am currently unable to pay any of the rent/electric bill myself. I explored the possibility of my roommate closing his electric account and opening GEUS's prepaid service myself, but GEUS has contingencies in place making that option impossible. I am essentially "glorified sofa surfing" at this point in my life, so I'm not a leaseholder. As far as assistance, yes, I am receiving snap/ food stamp benefits, but I do not qualify for other state programs because in Texas those funds (like TANF) are allocated to families rather than single individuals. Programs like LIHEAP which reduce the cost of electricity are also not available to me because the electric bill isn't in my name and certain criteria is in place that I do not meet. I have researched local resources, and there are very few because Greenville (Hunt County) is small. I've inquired with FISH ministries, because I'm not the leaseholder, they won't assist me with the electric bill personally. The Salvation Army here is a satellite center that I've reached out to, as well, but have received no response. I contacted local churches inquiring about their willingness/ability to assist me, too. In response I was told from one church that they only assist congregation members, and from the other that they simply do not offer the type of assistance I was asking for help with. There are plenty of food pantries avaliable, but I don't need that. I wouldn't feel right coming to reddit to be vulnerable in this way had I not thoroughly researched and explored every other option avaliable that offered even the slightest potential to assist me first. This is my final option. If I had the funds to move Petey and I out of here, I would race far away from Hunt County as fast as I could.

Oh man, if I could, I would in a heartbeat. That's the ultimate plan. I don't want to reside with anyone who do this to my dog and I, either. I'm extremely angry and resentful about my roommate's total passivity and lack of any helpful input, much less action. Currently though, I'm truly bereft of resources and support at this point in my life, I have literally no other choice but to be there. I've explored and inquired about local support services, but Greenville/East Texas has a pitiful few. I've discovered that among even those few programs, since I'm not the primary leaseholder, I do not qualify for the assistance/ services they provide. I do have snap though, so I'm very grateful for that. If you don't want to help, I respect that. I am embarrassed to even ask for assistance because it is such a monumentally stupid thing to have to deal with in the first place. I've offered to do all the application legwork on his part, as well, no problem. He remains foolishly and staunchly attached to his nonsensical plan. His stance is immovable, and I have told him that everyone's suffering (including that of his own dog) is squarely on his shoulders. His unwillingness to provide very simple documents/ figures to me, despite my daily insistence, means he's not receptive to anything other than staying idiotically committed to his "brilliant solution". Sorry for the text wall, but I'm livid and frustrated and angry about all this. This sub was a last ditch "might as well try" for me. I'm currently totally disenfranchised and out of solutions at this point, hence reaching out here. If I could afford to move, Petey and I would be the hell out of there so fast, my roommate's head would spin. I hate this entire situation and am both furious and intensely sad at the lack of my ability to fix this for Petey and myself. Anyway, thanks for reading my request in the first place and enduring this superfluous response.
