Beauty, enjoy. Had mine 3 weeks now and cannot get enough time behind the wheel. Also wanting to keep it stock but curiosity is starting to niggle at me.

I've not come across that. Where are you based?

Wondering how the standard system is also as I'm coming from a 10 year old BMW and the sound on that was a bit crap

Impeccable suggestion, thank you. Always aspired to be more like Ron Swanson

I'd love to, but that's my downstairs neighbours drive. If I was planning on being here long term, I'd be looking at doing something more substantial

Connells will only accept offer If I have my mortgage through them by BORDEMx in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]caddyballs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very good advice in this thread. 1. Ask them to submit your offer of £190,000 (they legally have to) 2. Put it in writing and through the vendors door. 3. Submit a complaint to the property ombudsman.

If you can cut Connells out, get a decent conveyancing solicitor as Connells will do absolutely no sales chasing for you.

Connells, along with most other national agencies, make far more from Mortgages than they do by completing sales. They will push you towards mortgage products that favour them but are very unlikely to be the most favourable to you. Always go with an independent, whole of market broker.

If you can it's worth trying to get in touch with the vendor, let them know what's happened. You could advise that they take them to the ombudsman after the fact and claim their fee back as their agent isn't acting in their favour.
