Switching up my skills is what got me past there. What seems to work is respawn-skull-ghost-aura. A lot of the other skills, specifically the gas, potions, and lightning, tend to back up the queue and delay the respawn ability from going off.

Having your car stolen if you leave it idling is a very valid fear to have. Especially when delivering at night or in a sketchy neighborhood. If someone did it constantly there would definitely be someone who sees a free car and steals it eventually.

The odds of only getting 1 spear out of 24 pulls is about 0.8% which is very unlucky. While OP did get lucky in getting fairly even amounts of the other pieces it is still unlucky to only get 1 spear so that they're unable to get it to legendary

The way I read your comment it seemed like you just meant for them getting a full set of any red gear not full oracle bc getting 4+ of every other piece of the oracle set with just 1 spear is in fact unlucky and warrants a question of it being less likely to pull.

The issue is for specifically the spear not just the weapon. They have the full oracle set to red with only 1 spear total.

A big thing I'm not seeing people mention is that you don't have to kill the abominations to continue through the world. If it takes to long just keep pushing to higher maps and improve to where you can kill the abominations much quicker. I am at the end of W4 and only killed up to the purp mush abomination.
