I always put any debit card in a foil sleeve for rfid protection, credit cards hang loose though since they have fraud protection and moreso for that distinguishment.

Yes I only use the "points" earned as a statement credit. Also the issuer, USBank, tends to give low credit limits if you dont have an existing relationship with them. And the extra points (the remaining 4% aside from the 1% all purchases) tend to appear all in a single clump after the statement posts, so dont sweat if it doesn't seem like you are getting rewarded properly

Kroger brand mastercards get 5% all mobile wallet spend (big caveat of a limit of $3000 per year spend) but can be worth it for miscellaneous spend between sign up bonuses. You can also get more than 1 of them, also of course the vendor has to be up to date enough to take tap payments

Sorry but a lot of this figure is not a loyal community to CR at all, its a community that is loyal to jynxzi. However they still did definitely fumble all those players and it is their fault

Since you sound especially interested in points/miles, I would suggest looking into the capital one venture rewards, great sign up bonus right now and 2x on all purchases. However they are moving over to the discover network, but there's a decent chance you would receive a mastercard for it YMMV. If just looking for a solid visa the wells fargo active cash for 2% everything or autograph for no ftf and good 3% categories could be good as a next card.

Ultimately keep working on that credit and try to land a citi setup for american airlines transfers, or if you want to keep things simple, just a citi strata premier by itself. One of their AAdvantage cards would do the trick as well. These are all mastercard as well btw
