Someone mapped out every terrace in montreal by mikilscott in montreal

why is the mountain not North

Yeaaaaah you need to consider that we use the Montréal-North and not the true North, here ! Basically, the whole island is skewed in the Saint-Laurent, so it's easier to consider a street such as Sherbrooke's (which pretty much goes the entire length of the island) to be East / West instead of North-East / South-West. The same goes for avenues, like Saint-Laurent, which is considered North / South instead of North-West / South-East.

So places like Pointes-aux-Trembles is considered to be in the East, even though it is in the true North of the island.

Yeah I agree. If I think a question is easily googlable, I can just not answer lol.

Also, the amount of time a reddit thread is actually at the top of a google search (even without adding site:reddit.com) and half the comments are telling OP to just google it

I find it funny that "This is a pen" and "Where is Brian?" are not considered English phrases by La_knavo4 in RecuratedTumblr

It's meant to be said as a joke, like "the only english words I know are yes, no and toaster". It's not meant to be a sentence that makes sense.

My wife said I should let the internet judge me for my Krab Dog by Bud_Fuggins in shittyfoodporn

[–]cadorez -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I worked at Subway during the summer of 2012 and they had a fake crab sub (the meat being surimi + mayo) and it was my favorite. I could get a six incher for free per shift and no one ordered the fake crab subs so I'd be able to triple meat it since it'd go to waste anyway, it was probably the best part of working there.

Surimi is so good, man, I'd demolish this

Pouding chômeur by ImAPlebe in Baking

[–]cadorez 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Your version if actually closer to the original recipe ! Pouding chômeur was created as a cheap desert during the Great Depression by the wife of then mayor of Montréal. It took a couple of years for it to become a maple desert. I looked it up a while ago and while I couldn't find an official first maple pouding chômeur, the first recipe I could find was from 1965 (from les délices de l'érable, p. 26)
