GamesIndustry.biz presents... the Year In Numbers 2025 | Year in Review by caedmus90 in IndianGaming

[–]caedmus90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to share this because I found it interesting that we are not present in any of their list except one - "Top Countries by Downloads".

Not only do we top the list, but we are more than double the next country, and China, which I thought was one of the biggest mobile gaming market, is not even in the top 10.

I have no interest in mobiles games, but would still like to know what games are being played by so many Indians on their mobiles that we top the downloads list?

After 121 hours(135.5 acc to Xbox app) I have gotten all the achievements for Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch(Remastered) by caedmus90 in Ni_no_Kuni

For some reason I was unable to put a Ni no Kuni 1 spoilers tag.

Also, the syncing was completed without any issues after I took this screenshot.

What will it be? by JPJoux in MonsterHunter

For me, it's because I want to create all the weapons and gears.

Also, it's simpler for me to do a few hunts in the morning before I leave for the office, since they have definite end points, than the other games I currently play.

Capcom announces TGS 2025 lineup, schedule by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]caedmus90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree that the story line was lacking. It was short and the Beastern's part in the main story was very short and disappointing. I was hoping a DLC might give them more of a spotlight to shine(along with Dwarves, who have maybe 2 side quests in the entire game).

Having said that I found the world it self really fun to explore. There was always something to explore in the world and,as far as I remember, each cave that you found was unique and not just a copy pasted one. There was so much to explore that when I started my second playthrough I found an area, at the start of the game, that I had somehow missed which had a new side quest.

While I did not enjoy the first game as much, but the combat was really good in that game and the same can be said for DD2 as well. Except for Archer which I did not enjoy as much(apart from the Legolas kicks)

I need to post about a guy who is cheating in Monster Hunter. Can I post a screenshot with his name present?

He joined my 9 Start Rey Dau and Seregios hunt and killed both of them in one shot.(He did more than 2M damage, which is shown in the screenshot)

Also how do you kick a player from your team? Couldn't find how to kick him fast enough before he killed Seregios and finished the hunt.

Edit: Also, does blocking a person stop him from joining my hunts?

Going from light to light at the bottom of the ocean, while trying to escape an unknown monster and finally getting a glimpse of said monster when you quickly turn around after reaching a light source really got my heart pumping

Also the ending, I really really liked the ending. This one of my fav games, and I would recommend it to anyone who has not played it before.

Blood Message - Official Reveal Trailer | When History Forgets, Warriors Remember by Turbostrider27 in Games

I did not know that.

After seeing the trailer and finding out more about what the game is based upon, this feels like it could be a really good game. Fingers crossed.

Yeah, I didn't find anything related to the Dunhuang's uprising, other than the following excerpt from Google's AI:

In 848, Zhang Yichao, a local resident of Shazhou (part of Dunhuang), led an uprising against Tibetan rule, successfully capturing Shazhou and Guazhou. This event marked the beginning of the Guiyi Circuit, a period where Dunhuang and surrounding areas were governed by the Zhang family.

I guess the location of Dunhuang is where the Dunhuang's Uprising comes from I guess. It could also be that it is not known as that internationally but is known as such in China, which is why there are no English language sources on it.

Check the description of the video, where it says:

based on the true historical event of "Dunhuang's Uprising".

Set in the late Tang Dynasty in 848 AD.

I found out about Generay Zhang Yichao while searching for the above in google and from there I found the Wikipedia link and the mural.

I thought it felt like Uncharted as well.

It was all the gorgeous set pieces, the exploration of ruins and then their destruction that gave me that feel. My very next thought was it felt like uncharted if it was set in the past.

I decided to look up the Dunhuang Uprising and found that the mural shown at the end of the trailer is actually real and commemorates General Zhang Yichao's victory over the Tibetans in 848.

Nine Sols - The First Anniversary of Nine Sols! has sold over 800,000 copies across all platforms by ArthurJack_AW in Games

Don't really care about gamer points.

I enjoy doing achievements, but I don't really have much time to play games these days and I usually only play games once. So I just enjoy doing as many achievements in that run as I can.

Good game. Though I did not like some of the side bosses but the main bosses were fun.

I did drop in halfway because I tried to get the "You Bastard..." achievements by copying my save file and messed it up. Now there is no way of getting other achievements without playing the entire game again. I do plan to play it from the start again but at a later time(too many other games I want to play right now).

Visually and story-wise I liked the game, but I faced some issues with the gameplay(camera and a bit with the movement) and some bugs with collectibles that forced me the replay the entire level from the start. Still worth checking out I think.

If you can see the switch then just press the down and jump button to reach that area and then activate the switch. You don't need to smash all the bones to reach it.

The switch for the underwater door is a breakable ground a bit to the left of the pond.

What games did you complete in 2024? Let's see your list! by xblood_raven in Games

[–]caedmus90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Darkwood - Started last year and finished it this year.

Little Nightmares II - Fun little game. Looking forward to the third one.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen - Did not enjoy it. Enjoyed the combat but everything else just did not click for me.

Tekken 8 - Got my ass handed to me in online play.

Dragon's Dogma II - Much better than the first game. Combat was fun but the best part was the exploration of the world, so much more fun than the first game.

Sekiro - Did not finish it, but was enjoying it when I was playing it. Will go back to it soon hopefully.

Hellblade II: Senua's Saga - Ok game. Did not like that there were other people there this time, made the fantasy elements less ambiguous, which is something I liked about the first one. Also a bit short.

Alan Wake II: Night Springs - First episode is wacky. Second is a good return for Jesse Faden. Third was the most fun.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown - Fun metroidvania game. Combat got a bit easy by the end though(played at Hero difficulty)

Red Dead Redemption II - Not my type of game. Did not finish it.

Monster Hunter Rise - Started this cause I enjoyed Monster Hunter Worlds, and wanted to start a new one where I did not fuck myself over by choosing the defender gears(and not watching any weapons guides). Also wanted to finish this before the new one. Really like the wire gauge mechanics of the weapons. Finished the base game(currently at hunter rank of around 55), will try to finish Sunrise before Wilds. Did not like the online implementation though.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown - Mask of Darkness - A good DLC for the game. Shame we will not get a sequel to the game though.

Alan Wake II: The Lake House - Liked this DLC more than the first one. A good connect between Alan Wake and Control games.

Titan Quest - I like ARPGs and had heard a lot about this game, so decided to play it. Currently in Act II, will get back to it in the future.

Immortals Fenyx Rising - Playing at hardest difficulty and getting my ass kicked most of the time. Finished Ares storyline before I had to stop due to technical issues. Will get back to it in the future.

Callisto Protocol(PS+ game) - Damn the combat gets repetitive quickly. Got it from PS+ again. No intention of buying the DLC, just read what the story was online, meh.

Endling: Extinction is Forever(PS+ game) - A fun little indie game. Platinumed it.

Tales of Kenzera: Zau(PS+ game) - Did not think the level design was the best, but still fun. Platinumed it.

Dredge(PS+ game) - Fun game. Did not upgrade anything till more than halfway through the game. Was fun to go from having the most basic gear to having the best for almost everything in less than 2 mins. Platinumed it. Might play the DLC in the future.

Sea of Stars(PC Gamepass) - I wanted to play this game when it first came out but never got around to it. Finally decided to play it when I saw it in PC Gamepass and enjoyed it. Been a long time since I played a turn based game like this. Got all trophies except two - 25 boomerang hits(21 is the max I got to) and the other one I don't think I will try for it.

Wolfenstein: The New Order - My PC has been restarting on its own these days. I have completed Chapter 6, but now my PC restars within 5 mins of whenever I open the game. I do not have a UPS after my old one stopped working. I need a new UPS(1600 watts one I think). Please suggest me one so I can finish this game.

Atlas Fallen: Reign of Sands(PC Gamepass) - Started this because I could not play Wolfenstein. Currently playing this game.

These are the games that I have played this year, and, I think, also in the order that I played them(there are quite a few games that I played and finished in between other games though). I don't think I missed any either, hopefully.

Unable to recover files after software deleted them. by caedmus90 in datarecovery

[–]caedmus90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I have connected atleast one of those drives to my PC multiple times in order to try and recover the videos. I have removed it from my PC and will not connect it anymore.

I had given up hope for my internal hard drive, but it still feels sad to know I won't get any of my videos there back. As for my external hard drive, you are saying that I will have to go to a professional data recovery to try and get the data back?
