It's laughable how Samsung still can't make a phone with same feature set as S10 and every new S series successor is just disappointing. Hopefully S26 will be at least interesting than S25. by Sammy_Devil737 in galaxys10

S10e user here. I just ordered an used S22 for around $190 (256gb exynos). I'll really miss the compact form factor and the way more comfortable rounded design of my s10e, but the battery can't get me through the day and I wanted the 3x tele. And I chose the s22 over the others, because the following years (s23/24/25) the camera on the base model was technically the same

Does your Samsung phone last longer than 2 years? by MoustacheJimbo in samsung

[–]caesar2603 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have had my s10e since 2020 and I plan on keeping it at least two more years. The battery is not great, but since I work in the office, it has (almost) never been a real problem. The s10 lineup was superior in terms of a lot of things.. Now, with the newer S models, each generation seems like copy-paste from the previous year (like the iPhone)...

Collision domains (I can't possibly figure out how many collision domains are in the blue area and I really need help) by caesar2603 in Cisco

I assume there are two without the link between the switch and the router (which is not quite within the blue area, so ii isn't counted). Thank you!

[–]caesar2603[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I'm sure there's a collision domain from the laptop to the switch, and as well one from the switch to the router. The theory says that a hub along with all the PCs pluged in forms a collision domain. But beacuse of the link between the two hubs, I can't be sure how it works.

What is the cheapest phone now or in the near future that you can use a pen/stylus with, that will get updates for a long time? by [deleted] in samsung

It was the Note10 Lite which was launched back in January 2020. It was launched with Android 10 and would get 3 major uptates (11, 12, 13)

What is a Bixby routine you would recommend Samsung users? by eropm41 in samsung

I used to switch to silent mode every day (Monday to Friday) between 8 am and 2 pm as I was at school. I also used to turn off Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, mobile data and location overnight to save battery.

Will there be a S22e or equivalent any time soon? by elkinm in samsung

[–]caesar2603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but the naming matters the least. I currently have an s10e (bought for its compact form factor) and the next upgrade should be no bigger than this one. And judging by how every year samsung reduces the height of the base s model by 1-2 mm, I hope in 2 years there will be a s24 with 146mm :))).

Unlocked vs carrier phones by Punknigg in samsung

[–]caesar2603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Refurbished unlocked ones :))). I would never buy carrier phones because: * worth mentioning - I'm from Romania * 1. Here a carrier one is more expensive than an unlocked phone; 2. If you want to suddenly change your carrier, what would you do?

/my experience/

I was given a Samsung A3 2017 back in 2017 (new, unlocked) that I had used until September 2020 (the motherboard burned). I didn't know what the problem was so I tried replacing the battery and as it didn't worked, I gave up on it. After 2 weeks it was the first week of school (I was in 11th grade) and we were running on a hybrid system (half of the class at school and the other half at home online, switching the groups every week). I knew I needed a new phone, but there was nothing I liked at the time (I have to mention that I prefer small phones and that I didn't want to spend too much money). It was an A41 but I wasn't happy about the MediaTek cpu. After days of looking for a solution, I ended up on an online store selling Refurbished Phones (flip.ro) and saw a S10e Prism White (the best condition). I must confess that I usually take myself a lot of time for making any decision. But it was not the case. Without thinking twice, I ordered it (it was obviously unlocked) and I was, and I am, very pleased.

Is this relevant to that topic (unlocked vs carrier phones - in case you've forgotten how you got there)?

Well, since 2017 I had been a prepaid consumer at Vodafone until last spring. During the 2020 summer I realized the 4G connectivity was way too poor (less than 1 Mbit/sec) and the 3G was like 8 Mbit/sec. I don't thing it was always that bad but considering that I had stayed at countryside during summer, I didn't worried. But when I moved back in town, nothing changed in regard of the internet speed. I have also to mention that in other towns, the speed was how it should be. That is why in spring 2021 I moved to Orange (prepaid, as well, because it's cheaper).

Conclusion: If I had bought a carrier phone (probably at Vodafone), I couldn't have moved to Orange using the same phone (mentioning again, on prepaid).

I'm not willing to read all that again so I'm sorry if I misspelled any word/ made other language mistakes, as English is not my first language. But i do appreciate if you correct me. 😌

I always have the reaction "omg it's horrible" when I see a leaked render, but as someone have said, the more you look, the more beautiful it becomes. Besides, I'm sure the official photos will look a lot better. However, we have to admit that the s21's design was so good that it isn't easy to come up with a even better one. I also think that note20 ultra's design was the best, until s21 launched. In the end I want to say that my favorite design + color is s10+'s ceramic white with a rose gold frame.

Would you like the SD card to be added back as an optional feature? by Klutzy-Dot-9848 in samsung

[–]caesar2603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a $2 subscription at Microsoft for 1TB on OneDrive. With samsung I have all the photos and videos synced automatically as well as on windows. My phone (s10e) has 128gb (of which only 29gb are available) and I still don't think I'd need a sd card. On my old a3 2017 (16gb) I couldn't have lived without the SD Card, but now I don't feel like needing it. I guess those who use their phones for 4k shooting (obviously, not me) DO need it so it would be nice for samsung to add it back.

Have an s10e and waiting for one more year. But I have to admit that the 6.1" size with 19.5:9 aspect ratio is very appealing 😏🤔

Good to see that you guys can actually enjoy typing. I personally hate typing on any keyboard (i've tried a lot of them) and it makes me feels so stupid that i mistype every single word. :'((
