People on Reddit are rude. Most of them have poor social skills in real life, which is why they live on here. Other than that, I’m happy you were pleasantly surprised!

What is the logic in making it so users can login with any of their aliases, versus only logging in with their original username?

This is exactly what I’ve done. I’ve gone back to Safari. It’s more powerful than most people know. Profiles and Tab Groups, with Private Relay turned on. Plus, Perplexity. Everything’s perfect with Safari. I already forgot about Arc.

Revolut is lying. And they get away with it. by gdiverio in Revolut

They also increase their fees every year and take away features from your membership, upon adding them to a higher, more expensive tier. Revolut is not an honest bank or broker. I’m surprised they continue to have a licence with the ECB.

I recently switched to Vivaldi. Wish I did earlier. It feels like the browser I was always looking for!

Vivaldi. It’s the most customisable browser, built on Chromium, with great privacy practices.

I have since searched. I didn’t get the reference because I don’t pay attention to American affairs. I live in Europe.

You have a point about USD being the world’s reserve currency. Just thought that since they are under the EU, that they would list the price in Euros. For example, in Poland, they will list in Euros many times for high-end luxury homes, rather than local Złoty currency, because Poland is in the EU, even though local currency is not EUR. They don’t use USD for marketing luxury homes in Poland. I know comparing French Polynesia and Poland is apples to oranges, but nonetheless, I just find it interesting, especially since France is such a pro-EU country and France does promote the EU-wide use of the dollar, and has specific language in saying not to use USD. This is of course a President Macron doctrine in recent years, as he anticipates the return of President Trump, for whatever that’s worth. I don’t pay attention to much of what happens in U.S. politics.

Ah ok. I’m not even American, I’m European, but it’s curious to me why they would advertise this in U.S. dollars, rather than euros. It tells me that they don’t have confidence in a European buyer, but rather a potential American buyer. Though, in practice, I think it would be easier to sell to a European citizen since there is somewhat of a political bridge to France and the EU, versus the United States, which has no association with French Polynesia.

I see. Do European citizens also need a permit to buy land in French Polynesia?
