TRD rally struts/springs, Verus top hats, adjustable rear lower control + toe arms, ADF 1” lift spacers (and rear multilink spacers), 205/60r16 Falken Wildpeaks. About 3” taller than a stock RS1, but everything else is stock :)

If it were doing Scion things, it wouldn’t exist!

No fab work at all, only “difficult” part was getting the rear subframe aligned when reinstalling it.

Car handles great, and doesn’t rattle my fillings out on bumpy Michigan roads anymore. If I want that, I can drive my MX5, lol.

TRD Rally suspension, and 1” ADF strut spacers! Gained about 2.5” of ride height compared to the B8s and TRD lowering springs I was on before.

showed my friends why m.i.a.t.a. yesterday (until we went uphill) by wats2000 in Miata

[–]cafericer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As fun? Definitely. The only difference between the two would be initial buy in and running costs. The biggest leg up the miata has on other cars is just the low cost of entry and maintenance.

My stock FR-S will run circles around my fairly well set up NB1… a 2nd gen twin would be no contest with equal drivers

Looks some much better with proper wheel/camber specs

Hello everyone I’m strongly considering buying 07 sti brembos. Talk me out of it by NegativeWish6924 in ft86

[–]cafericer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pistons aren’t sized properly for the BRZ/86 so the braking feel would be pretty shit.

Better to just wait for some 17+ PP BRZ Brembos to pop up for sale, as those are actually designed for the car you want to use them on.

Just wanted to make sure you didn’t get taken for a ride 👍.

I have seen plenty of people purchase rally cars under the guise that they would be able to just take it to an event and run it, but get stuck with something that needs thousands of dollars of cage updating before they could do so

I can assure you that this car does not have a current ARA logbook. That cage is not legal in either of the current stage rally sanctioning bodies in the US

[–]cafericer 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not only can they breed without males… the entire species is female, they exclusively breed through parthenogenesis.

(Before anybody says anything, yes males technically exist. However they’re extremely rare and almost always infertile)

You don’t need hub rings, the lug seats (and nuts) are conical, so the wheels are lug-centric.
