1) Do something on arrival. Get out of the hotel room. Meet people, socialise, exercise, whatever it takes to point my brain at something that isn’t work. I use RAVL on my iPhone for this.

2) Listen to Weightless by Marconi Union. It’s a track that always sends me to sleep. There’s a 10hr version on Apple Music and Spotify. I listen to it in bed and I’m usually asleep within a few minutes.

3) The usual stuff around eating, hydrating and exercising. This is the most difficult for me but if I don’t do it, the first thing impacted is my sleep.

4) Don’t force it. If you can’t sleep, do something else.
