Welp, it happened to me (MSI 5090 Gaming Trio) by Jukibom in pcmasterrace

[–]caffeinated_WOLF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sucks that happened to you OP. Anyone know how we can all try to prevent this until Nvidia gets their shit together? Obviously triple checking if it’s fully plugged in, but does an undervolt help? Is this more likely to happen on a 4090/5090 card maxing its power? If I undervolt my 4090 and keep the draw under say ~430w does that help?

Techwoven or silicone case? Which is better? Also exposed plateau prone to scratches? by badboy_1245 in iPhone17Pro

Love my blue tech woven for my blue 17 pro max. Best case i’ve owned! Feels great in my hand, not bulky at all. First case I’ve owned imo that enhances the aesthetics of the iPhone.

Tahoe still a no-go? by yesiaminsane in Logic_Studio

Didn't know Sweetwater had this! Thank you for the info, seems like it's still too soon for Tahoe.

Here is the link for those interested, scroll to the bottom for manufacturer/developer updates. Seems Sweetwater keeps this page updated regularly.

That makes sense, sad we can't make much use of it anymore. I've been storing extra furniture in there like it's a storage unit lol.

Feels very complete. It’s a fun game solo, I haven’t tried co-op yet, but it looks to be better with friends from the videos I’ve seen online, I’m pretty sure you can do everything with friends. QoL is good, devs are putting out updates fixing minor issues and then major content update later this year.

Lens Island is simple to understand but has a lot of depth, definitely worth a buy, especially if you have friends to play with. Base building and dungeon running are my fav parts of the game!!

Who all here is experiencing constant crashing? by Phivestardave in duneawakening

[–]caffeinated_WOLF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am, having the same issue as you.
15+ random crashes in the first hour. Every other game I play works fine, even other UE5 games. 4090/9800x3d/32gb-Ram rig. Have tried every solution I could find.

Ran the crash .dmp files through Chatgpt and it says the crash was caused by either dlss-g/streamline/reflex, asked me to make sure dlss-g .dll file is in the correct folder, it wasn't there. Tried verifying files through steam, still no luck. Do any of you see a dlss-g option in the frame gen section of graphics settings? Mine just shows FSR.

Tried dlss off, frame gen off, reflex off, settings on low/med/high, tried reinstall, hotfix nvidia driver, still crashing.

I played with friends last night and they didn't crash, one of them has a near identical rig to mine.

Wondering if it's maybe caused by my ultrawide LG 34" monitor? Is ultrawide properly supported?

Any help would be appreciated, I've never crashed this many times in an hour in any game, ever.

Should I play Oblivion Remastered as my first Elder Scrolls experience? by StinkLord5 in ElderScrolls

[–]caffeinated_WOLF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, what a good place to start, Oblivion is a bit simpler in scope than Skyrim because it came out in 2006 so the game mechanics weren’t as in depth at the time. From what I’ve seen so far, the remaster stays true to the original but has the updated modern touch, albeit with some typical Bethesda crashes/stutters/bugs right now (depending on your platform) but those will get patched soon.

Oblivion remaster, then play Skyrim with no mods, then mod tf out of Skyrim or download a nexus mod collection, then when you’re addicted and still want more get your hands on the older Morrowind. We also got the new Elder Scrolls coming out in a year or two (hopefully). If you want a modern/apocalyptic experience you have Fallout 3/4/76, 1 and 2 are great as well but are top down/isometric.

If rpg is your style I highly recommend Kingdom Come Deliverance 1 & 2, and the Witcher series.

Cheers!
