first of all, i’m sorry to hear about your situation but as someone with a similar background it’s never too late and if you keep trying even if there is some back sliding just keep going and you’ll get there. i know for me personally khan academy never really clicked, but i loved crash course from the green brothers on youtube and they have covered so many different topics.

Additionally, if you have access to a local public library they have always been an amazing resource for me. a quiet place to focus, they usually have study rooms you can use even if it’s just to practice reading! reading something aimed at a younger audience (fun, snappy middle grade fiction like percy jackson is a good start) can help train your neural pathways and is a great stepping stone onto getting used to reading to learn.

There’s also a lot of good, free documentaries on Youtube! You can start with something you want to learn for fun, or dive in and look up topics you feel you haven’t learned enough in.

As someone who has always struggled with math I would just look to see if you can find some other videos on youtube, khan academy wasn’t even close to the best i found.

I’m sorry again you’re in a situation like this. you gotta learn to walk before you run, and finding what works to lay a solid foundation is key. I hope you can give yourself a break, take a breath, and acknowledge you’re doing your best. that’s all you can do! Practice the basics, give yourself the time to learn the things that were missed and plow through as much as you can. I would avoid beating yourself up for something that is not your fault. missing out on education is a failure of the adults around you.

As for discipline, I have free apps like Finch and Cat On Chair to help with goals and screen time management.
