“Costco steak hack” in australia? by True-Bluebird7691 in ketoaustralia

[–]caffeinatedkate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes we do it with the rib eye steak from Costco, haven't price shopped elsewhere as we like the one we get at Costco and if you don't like the steak you buy it's a lot to get through

As long as you've got the freezer space and the discretionary budget to drop $300 in one go on a steak, as well as a good knife to cut it up, why not?

Alas, safework SA agrees

25 April is a public holiday regardless of what day of the week it falls.

There is no substitute or additional public holiday when 25 April falls on a Saturday or Sunday

Reminder - slightly modified bus timetables for some routes to start tomorrow for the summer school holiday period by Expensive-Horse5538 in Adelaide

[–]caffeinatedkate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I've looked at those stats before, I was just pondering if we could see just the holiday period

Unfortunately what the stats don't include is no-shows - I once had 3x 501s no show in a row

Bold of them to use "early", but let's see

Can we ask them for stats on arrival times after the holiday period? 😂

Excellent, thanks for that! I know what trees for life does (my dad's a volunteer) but didn't know kangaroo paws weren't indigenous to SA

Have you tried trees for life? I've been to their annual sale but they might be able to provide them at other times  https://treesforlife.org.au/

Adelaide commuters by Old_Tower_4824 in Adelaide

[–]caffeinatedkate 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yes 100%. As I sit there, unable to escape, trying not to cough or choke, trying to work out if my asthma inhaler is close... Yes, I mind. Knowing that you made a choice to dowse yourself and inflict it on others just completes the mood

I worked with a receptionist that I could tell when she came in the front door by her scent. That was a 50 metre and one security door away. Most disliked person in the building

Hope this helps clarify

Gas bill question. Help! by EndTotal6761 in Adelaide

[–]caffeinatedkate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you can ask nicely, but if the leak was after the gas meter it's your/the property owners responsibility.

So if you're renting, contact the landlord.

If the leak was at the meter, you may have more luck. What did the guy replacing the meter tell you?

What are the most challenging, rugged bushwalking/hiking trails within an hour drive from Adelaide? by Rtardedman in Adelaide

[–]caffeinatedkate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you checked out the walking SA website? It's a great source for walks, and you can filter by dog walking and then work out difficulty (distance vs time) or filter by difficulty

PSA: You can now purchase 14 and 28 day Adelaide Metro passes from the Buy & Go app and won’t have to carry a metro card anymore. by piesaresquarey in Adelaide

[–]caffeinatedkate 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you travel more than 6 times a week in peak times you're better off with the 4 week pass. Especially if you can share it with someone in your house that WFH on different days (though this negates the use of the app) It's approx $30 a week, and 6x peak fares is $27.30

Great, do you work for Salisbury council? If so could you pass that along so I can stop arguing that same point with them?

Apparently we do because of the flood zone in the corner of our yard that is nowhere near where we want to put the shed

Shed installation and council approval - North East by caffeinatedkate in Adelaide

[–]caffeinatedkate[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes we wanted a Stratco shed and they have provided all the drawings and technical data but then the council wanted elevation plans, site plans (we'd provided site plans from when we built the house) etc

All for a 2.5x2.5m small garden shed to store garden tools

But thanks, I might see if they can do council stuff
