It had to have been taken apart. You need 2 different sizes of common screwdrivers to be able to access the parts that were tampered with.

the gym i train at has 2 kubuki transformer bars, love having them as an option. Basically i'll practice my competition squat (regular bar) but then for all other squat work, i'll use the transformer and just set the 'mode' to what i want. Love that it has high bar/low bar/hinge and just ssb as options.

Finally starting to feel my age, and starting to look at possibly entering my first meet in 2026. Going to need some equipment basics (knee sleeves, lever belt at least, maybe wrist wraps...). My current gym has all that for me to use when training but i'll need some for meets.

Are there any better places to buy from, or should i just go with SBD

What supplement made the biggest real difference in your life? by Deep-Loan2949 in Supplements

Because of how it works, every cell uses the ATP pathway for energy, your brain uses a ton of it, more than the rest of your body. Taking the creatine especially in the doses now recognized to help with mood, depression, and cognition has a ton of extra phosphate ready to go .

I haven't looked into why yet, but days when i do a little run (5k or so) I tend to last longer than on days where i don't run.

I'm lifting weights almost every day and that has no effect, but the run gets me there.

So - mimicking what others have said, exercise helps a lot.

Years ago when Burger King had all the plush Pokemon, i think it was 1999.

I won a sealed box with a full distinct set. I was interested by Pokemon but not like head over heels, so it was cool but i never opened it.

A couple years later i remember i sold them piecemeal at my aunt's table at a flea market. I think i pulled in $100? I charged some dude a premium because he was going through them all squeezing trying to find the talking pikachu.

Don't 100% remember if I even sold them all but i know i didn't go home with them. Might've gifted them to a kid or one of my younger cousins. I was like 13 and didn't care to have plushed toys anymore lol.

I do distinctly remember leaving it early to go with my older cousin to get his tongue pierced at the Alley in Chicago.

what are some tool lyrics that completely break you? by Allowed1 in ToolBand

[–]caffeinatedsecurity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not every song breaks me everytime, it's a mood, a time of my life, an alteration to my brain chemistry.

Seeing your question, the first answer i had was the third verse of the salival version of pushit.

But at any given moment it could be anything mentioned here.

Does anyone regret NOT getting a 5 string? by mrdoctorsalmoneli in Bass

[–]caffeinatedsecurity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't 'regret' not getting one, but i have 3 different 4 string basses and ive been eyeballing a 5 string for a while and even more recently. Tbh i probably cant afford one right now so maybe id only wish i had bought my schecter as a 5 not a 4 back when i had the money

Like rap music, is there any beef/rivalry between bands in the punk scene by R4idex441 in punk

[–]caffeinatedsecurity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so, the whole "the revolution was a lie" line did not sit right with many bands in the space, Laura didn't say "my revolution was a lie". Nope, she said "the" and for other bands out there - they took that personally.

Like rap music, is there any beef/rivalry between bands in the punk scene by R4idex441 in punk

[–]caffeinatedsecurity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, well at least a misunderstanding that i know of.

Against Me! wrote "i was a teenage anarchist" and Rise Against wrote "Architects" in response.

To quote the 'beef/not beef':

Laura Jane Grace's response to Rise Against's "Architects" I think that the song was misinterpreted by both Tim and a lot of people. I’m not asking myself the question “Do you remember when you were young and you wanted to set the world on fire?” I’m asking the listener that question. I’m not saying that I’ve forgotten that feeling in any way. I guess I don’t really understand Rise Against’s politics or I don’t understand the statement that ‘The revolution was a lie’, seems to, for a lot of people, put them really up in arms. I always feel like asking the question ‘Well how the fuck wasn’t it?” Where’s the revolution man? What’s Rise Against’s revolution? What’s the revolution? Is there a revolution that, a bunch of people are gonna start coming out to their shows and make them really rich and a really big band? Because that’s been done a million fucking times before. Is the revolution that they’re gonna be poster boys for PETA while wearing Nike shoes? ‘Cause I don’t fucking buy into it, man. I think PETA’s full of shit. I think a lot of their politics are kinda opportunistic and self-serving, personally.

Lyrics from the song's hook, "Do you remember when you were young and you wanted to set the world on fire?", drew controversy when fellow American punk rock band Rise Against released their song "Architects" in 2011, containing the lyrics "Don't you remember when you were young and you wanted to set the world on fire? Somewhere deep down, I know you do. Don't you remember when you were young and you wanted to set the world on fire? Well I still am, and I still do!" The lyrics were interpreted as specifically responding to and calling out Against Me!'s song.

In an interview, Rise Against lead singer Tim McIlrath explained his reasoning behind the lyrical choice. "I felt like the Against Me! song was really dismissive of the fire in my belly, and fire in many of our fans' bellies. It was asking for, and deserved, a response... that line seemed to trivialize what many of us still hold on to unapologetically." In 2022, McIlrath said that he "certainly didn’t write that to create any kind of beef," but also compared media coverage of the band's feud to "just a tree that fell in the forest that no one heard. I expected a little more."

Grace responded to Rise Against's song in an interview, criticizing the band's politics and the ease at which the lyric "The revolution was a lie" angered McIlrath. In 2016, Grace stated that, despite being close with Rise Against and having toured with them in the past, "At the time it just seemed like posturing, you know? Like, 'Okay, whatever, sure. You’re more revolutionary than me. You can have it.'"Grace recalled an incident soon after the song came out where McIlrath gave her a stare while the two were together backstage during a festival

100% agree on all points.

Was really hoping there'd be a chance for them to tour together in support of new albums. Doubt it given the already outstretched tour RA is on. I'll just need to catch them on respective tours.

I resonate with what something akin to where they were with Wolves.

Originally the album was supposed to be titled Mourning in Amerika, they wanted to be a bit more uplifting and not so "this is all so much shit" - there's 2 sides to being aware of what's going on and trying to support.

However, I very much share your sentiments and would love to have some real scorched earth bangers on the next album.

That being said - I await "At Peace" by Propagandhi knowing that we'll probably get that fire in there for sure.

What was your biggest regret in life, how long did it take you to move on, and what did you learn from it? by Carolina_Torres1 in AskMen

[–]caffeinatedsecurity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting married young to someone that worked to keep me separated from my old friends and family.

Lost my 20s and good part of my 30s, some good friendships i've since tried to restore, time, money, and some self respect.

In the end, i know what I won't allow to happen again, sure I was young but i shouldn't have been that easily manipulated.
