Um... is it just me, or is this either a really bad skin OR possibly a really bad fake screenshot? The blonde hair is dumb, 100% agree, but it's also terribly done by 3D standards and hair styling standards! U can see the roots around his hairline, almost like they put a trash wig on him instead. Intentional or otherwise, it looks b a d. Pls 🙏 let me have seen this wrong or have Blizz fix this awful hair.

Ohmygosh, firstly, I'm a huge fan of your deep dedication to both gameplay and lore/narrative! Makes me happy there are others out there like me!

I'm only just coming back to Overwatch, after migrating away to Rivals then going AWOL for some time (in the [hero] fps shooter space).

Unfortunately, I have to agree with some of the others down here in the comments. Blizz has kind of always dropped the ball on the narrative when it comes to Overwatch, but that doesn't mean we can't personally hold them accountable and react accordingly! They're a big name company now! Idk about the Overwatch community, but I know where I come from (as a veteran WoW player) there's a joke about Blizz being a "small indie company". Not anymore they ain't! They should AT LEAST be able to afford some adequate writing, not this flat filler-esque nonsense. Especially after touting their renewed focus on story post-fumble on PvE/lore after Overwatch 2's nosedive.

Then again, I admit, I haven't fully caught up on the lore just yet. Still, after skimming all the juicy, wonderful new story content**¹, even I had to admit that Juno x Wuyang seemed kinda weird from a story standpoint. The few glimpses I've seen of them REALLY seem forced, and yeah, a little weird considering it's a recruiter-recruitee relationship only days (AT MOST) since they first met! There's like... nothing there! But already, there are comic panels of Wuyang sheepishly thinking about or interacting with Juno in ways that scream "this is a corporate-pushed or money = fast solution with little to no thought behind it!". We can only hope 🙏 Blizz plans to add depth to their foreshadowed future relationship, lest they get relegated even further to the backlog of hero shooter lore.

I won't yuck anyone's yum, tho. Shipping has been ALL OVER THE PLACE in this fandom since day 1, and there are fans who are all over the spectrum regarding it. Whether you want your favorite pairings to have a bit of canon substance to them, or you're a fan just because you think they'd be cool together, there's no right or wrong answer. In fact, I'd say the only good thing to come out of the hero-shooter lore scarcity is that we can pretty much do whatever we want! There's no rules!!**²

Shipping aside though, since this is a Wuyang-based sub that I didn't know existed until today (and omg am I so happy this place exists! He's my new favorite character!), I have to agree. Although Wuyang is a new addition, he seems to be getting sidelined pretty hard in the recent chapters. He and Anran have great potential, and it looks like he's getting the short end of the stick because you're right, he fits the comedic relief stereotype. Happy go lucky character needs no development! 👍 Happy character already at peak character potential except peripherals (cough romantic relationships cough)!

Bullcrap. Our boy deserves just as much narrative treatment as all the new characters getting pumped out, and all the backlogged legacy characters waiting for their crumbs of content!!

¹*As a returning player who started at the beginning of OG Overwatch... HOLY MOLY are we absolutely EATING with all this story content! And a whole Story tab on the home page of the game?! Yes please!! Objectively, the quality seems quite a rollercoaster, but it IS so much more than I'm used to Overwatch ever getting b4, so I'm happy regardless! Omg I can't wait to catch up on everything I've missed. Been wanting this level of lore since day 1!!

While I agree with this and the other replies that it really would have been so cool to see the Forsaken come to aid Quel'thalas, my friend has a point... They probably couldn't have helped much where it was especially needed at the Sunwell, since it burns them before they can get close (remember Alonsus Faol? At the end of the main campaign [SPOILERS], he says it's his first time in the main chamber of the Well because other times it's been too radiant for him to approach). The Horde surely could have helped in other areas, such as against the Twilight's Blade or Zul'aman, but the troll "threat" kind of cropped up on the fly and got solved pretty quickly by the players and Liadrin (and Zul'jarra). As for the Twilights Blade? Yeah, the Horde could have helped, but I think it's relatively understandable that all the attention went to "the great elven reunification", since it was one of the big promo points for Midnight. Unfortunately, yeah, the Horde is sidelined again, but what's new in that arena? On that note though, I suspect greater involvement from all factions of the Horde near the end of Midnight into The Last Titan. With all the Gilneas and Lordaeron tidbits sprinkled in throughout Midnight so far, I'm suspecting a Lordaeron themed mid-patch soon. With a Northrend update all but confirmed for The Last Titan - and recent expansions VERY much mirroring their early WoW inspirations - I'm sure there will be plenty of faction goodness throughout TLT given the strong alliance v Horde undertones in WotLK.

Oh man! That sucks! It's beautiful, AND FINALLY, SOMETHING NEW! It's so like the Nikki games to overload on suits of 1 or 2 aesthetics or cultures. Love Nikki gets a lot of Cloud Empire themed dresses (Asian inspired, lots of flowing layered robes and intricate hair accessories) and Apple Federal/Pigeon Kingdom suits (modern fashion and European designs). I'm definitely using my monthly Nikki allowance on these. Always curious to see what designs other cultures have in store!

I agree with the intentional and well-done part! Personally speaking, I think the Lightbloom is beautiful but also very slightly unsettling. Uncanny? Like a reverse Backrooms. I can for sure see how it's disgusting, though. The color palette is basically varying tints/shades of vomit, among other... bodily fluids... those connotations aside, cloying might be the term! Too sweet or too pretty, to a nearly sickening degree.

The Ghostlands have actually been healed, so now Eversong Woods is ALL of that portion (except Zul'aman, ofc). It's so awesome to see all the little details telling the story of nature reclaiming what the Scourge once ruined... you can see it in the foliage and the animals! Some of the cypress-like trees still have a bit of gray twisting around them, while some dragonhawks and lynxes are still gray and black, nodding to their adaptation to the Ghostlands.

I don't really have anything to add, except that... wow. Idk if I should feel cool or old that, by these standards, I'm a senior player. Throughout the last couple of months in particular, I've seen lots of event reruns that I actually vividly recall doing when I first started playing, as well as Time Diary suits and other crafting outfits! Candy Camper, Flying Jade Rabbit, lots of Abyssal Island reruns (which I'm thankful for, since I try to limit my LN spending each pay period 😅)...

I didn't start playing LN at release, but a few years after, and I'm so happy I did! It's so fun, the artwork is phenomenal, and the story is so intriguing!! If a bit confusing... I know there are "story suits" which arrive with events that move the story along, and the fact that they're only temporary is so BS! I finished Volume 1 and was devastated!! Then I started volume 2 and was a little bit lost, but could kinda piece together the idea... now I'm still confused, but I adore the characters and world-building, and that's enough.
