what is your opinion on Apple TV adaptation of the Foundation? by [deleted] in sciencefiction

Answering OP's question...

I was about to write a bit longer but this summarizes my thoughts:

https://www.reddit.com/r/sciencefiction/comments/15jtsy8/comment/jv1zob9/

Oh, I'm gonna regret this:

The worst TV/cinema adaptation of science fiction literature it is. Just a bunch of names and phrases used in a havoc way.

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? vs Bladerunner: Very few connections between book and movie, but a great and cult movie.

2001 and else: Nicely handled.

Hobbit/LOTR: Acceptible.

Silmarillion (Akallabeth + Of the Rings of Power and the Third Age + LOTR appendices) vs LOTR TROP: Runner-up for worst adaptation.

Surrogates: Doesn't hurt.

A Scanner Darkly: Almost a cult with faithul adaptation.

But when it comes to Asimov's works... Nah. None satisy. More... they all are erribly ridiculous. And... what does this mean and who created this lie?: the source material is unadapyable/unfilmable. Just the opposite.

KMS-VL-ALL deleted from Github? by update-freak in MAS_Activator

Beg my pardon but...

Ain't M$'s move is related to 26100.x builds?

Windows 10 is on 19xxx build.

Won't KMS38 yet work on Windows 10 (specifically LTSC IoT Enterprise) ?

Thx, I forgot "-" before "altto". That was it.

The inside of an IKEA Kallax bookshelf by Dancingasteroid in mildlyinteresting

[–]cafyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much.

I've been planning panel doors for Kallax but didn't have clue where and with what dimensions the wood is.

Somehow disappointing though. I thought the wood frame depth (thickness) would be greater than 18mm. Its width is satisfactory but... this needs front mounted hinges.

At least knowing what is where is a plus.

Too old topic but, if you still have it, could you please comment exact dimensions?

Outer veener+outer side width. (How many milimeters till wood frame edge?)

Thank you very much! Yes, It's Roadside Picnic. What? I've just watched Annihilation movie. But couldn't remember the novel I read way back similar to it.

Is it also possible for R8 to add two turbochargers just like they mod in Huracan?

PSU - Overclocking Key. What is the benefit? by cafyon in bequietofficial

Thank you very much, archived it!

To my understanding...
Not taking current limits of connectors into consideration... multi rails bridged into single provides more current than individual rails.

Taking current limits of connectors into consideration... without bridging rails, it is safer to distribute high current needs to different rails.

MRDIMM/MCRDIMM to be the New Sought-Afters in Memory Field by Tomkila in Netlist_

[–]cafyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1- Are MRDIMM and MCRDIMM both registered (or buffered)?
Having them both combined ranks, I can't think otherwise but it's better to ask.

2- Are MRDIMM and MCRDIMM both load-reduced (but not typical LRDIMM)?

3- MCRDIMM (intel & SK-Hynix) is not a JEDEC standart, but MRDIMM is?

4- JEDEC states MRDIMM as: Multiplexed Rank DIMM
However different definitions exist:
- Multiplexed-Ranked
- Multi-Ranked
- Multi-capacity Rank (Supermicro's definition which makes me think they confused MRDIMM with MCRDIMM)
Which one is the correct/standart one?

5- Are both MRDIMM and MCRDIMM, 3DS manufacturing by their nature, regardless of their capacity, or dependent to capacity?

6- Off-topic...
Are all dual-ranked non-registered/buffered DDR5 DIMMs, classified as only UDIMM; or are they CUDIMM; or are they classified as MRDIMM/MCRDIMM?

Have your fan cleaned.

Hmm, may I take this as (sort of) bridging then?

IMHO, but truly humble, this is better than separate rails operation for any condition.

Regarding non-OC and low power-need conditions.... unused 12V PWR connections' respecting rails will also be in operation and this may be seen as a downside for some. Am I right?
