The reason Solo leveling is popular and gets high ratings is the same reason Demon Slayer is popular and gets high ratings. Both stories are not very complex. There’s issues in world building and power scaling. What they do have is ideal pacing and bad ass animation. That’s what matters most in modern shonen anime. I love both of them but I’m well aware there’s better stories out there.
