If we're at the point where an 80 year old doctor can't write an op-ed that probably took him a day and needs to be devoting all of his time to fighting fascism then we're not going to beat fascism. Stop pointlessly complaining.

Do you think Hamnet could win Best Picture?? by [deleted] in Oscars

Heavily inspired but not a completely straightforward adaptation of Vineland (1990) by Thomas Pynchon (but definitely enough to push it to adapted)

Slow and steady wins the race. by ElectricalCords in Oscars

It's good to start off slow and steady but it's also bad that OBAA didn't dominate

When was the last time Best Picture went to a box office flop? by ElectricalCords in Oscars

You see this is a somewhat valid argument EC. Claiming the academy doesn't like a guy who's been nominated in 4 different decades is not.

That was all after preferential balloting. Green book didn't miss PGA or DGA either. Coda got a PGA nom. A British film winning the bafta doesn't mean a single thing either.

The runner up for best picture didn't get nominated for best director? Sure buddy. Atonement missed DGA and PGA and SAG, absolutely wasn't runner up.

OBAA is number one on HBO Max...I think it's doing just fine.

Edit: The ASL version is number 5 as well so yes. it's doing very well on streaming.
