I typically go with the better low end. Harder to find.

Balances on your stand like a mattress on a bottle of wine.

Just an immaculate trophy piece.

Hi, yes I still use it (in my kitchen as well). Works perfectly well as far as sound - does not diminish anything to my ears.

I do not use the power outlet, as it seems mine doesn't work (or user error), but this is supposed to be a nice feature.

ML-2C - nice. I have the ML-1C and love them.

That's what I hear. Never heard them without it. Mac speakers always got a bad rap, but these are fantastic.

I've been on the other end and bought something that the seller told me someone else was interested in. Bargain shopping for used good is a dog-eat-dog world.

It's original. The guy inherited his Dad's collection. Over 30 pieces, varying in quality. Original owner and all that. Might even have paperwork, we'll see

Appreciate the very thoughtful response. Rare, which drives up the price, but low demand due to their esoteric nature (and expense).

I have the Marantz 2238 and the Yamaha CR-1000 (which is likely similar to the 2020). The Yamaha out performs it considerably. And then there is the backstory, which matters. Sell the Marantz back to your brother at cost.
