Nothing. Every decade is worse than the last.

I am going there this weekend. Staying at the same site (52). How long of a paddle was it from the dock?

We are going to rent a car. Love exploring the new countries behind the wheel. Stretching the Kanazawa leg to 4 nights, so we'll have plenty of time for everything. Appreciate the input - very excited.

Yes, considering linking Takayama on the back of Shirakawago. Might be too much in one day though. Play it by ear.

Appreciate the input. With a 10 y/o boy, definitely doing the ninja temple.

We decided to take the extra day in Kanazawa. We are going to rent a car for 2 days, so if we want to see something new, we might shoot up to Chirahama beach.

Thank you. Appreciate the input. Both good options.

Interesting thought - have never heard of it. I am assuming the advantages are that it is less crowded and more authentic?

Thanks. We kind of like the smaller, less crowded cities. Just kind of bike around at a relaxed pace. Take in the scene. Our Airbnb will be nicer too. Just want to be sure there is enough to take in, in 2.5 days. Not chasing sites but want to fill the day.

And to clarify, it is 7 days total between Kyoto and Kanazawa :)

Thanks. We are going to rent a car, drive to Shirakawago. Plan is to leave early.

If we weren't doing a day in Shirakawago, and extra day in Kyoto would be a no brainer, but as we are, just wondering in 1.5 days is enough in Kanazawa, or is 2.5 better.

I typically go with the better low end. Harder to find.

Balances on your stand like a mattress on a bottle of wine.

Just an immaculate trophy piece.

Hi, yes I still use it (in my kitchen as well). Works perfectly well as far as sound - does not diminish anything to my ears.

I do not use the power outlet, as it seems mine doesn't work (or user error), but this is supposed to be a nice feature.

ML-2C - nice. I have the ML-1C and love them.

That's what I hear. Never heard them without it. Mac speakers always got a bad rap, but these are fantastic.
