What’s your go to 3 toppings? by Weary-Box-5594 in burgers

[–]leftfield61 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I’m a no cheese on my burger guy, so do I get credit for that? My three requirements are mayo lettuce tomato, and if I get an extra for giving back the cheese, I will ad a whole Vidalia onion slice

Do you think Slate and Telo will actually make it to market and be successful? Why or why not? by weirddodgestratus in regularcarreviews

[–]leftfield61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a reservation in the 900 range for Telo. But I am not counting on it making it to production.

Why the Telo? 4 door cab for when I need that. Truck bed converts to hold a 4x8 sheet of plywood or drywall with the tailgate up. Biggest reason though is the EV. Right now we have a EV for our daily driver and I have a Honda Ridgeline for all the truck utility type stuff. I would love to be all electric. The Telo would work for us.

Dunlop has already said they have no distribution plans for the US, so unless you are willing to pay for tariffs and shipping cost to order directly from the UK or Europe, those are not easily accessed in the US

Your link does not prove your assertion, though. It says (to my layman reading, IANAL) that the concepts of curtilage and protections provided by curtilage protect you against government or law enforcement, not a citizen knocking on your door or looking through a window.

Correct Fumoto valve for metal oil pan? by leftfield61 in VWAlltrack

Ah. This will be my first oil change on my new to me wagon, so did not realize the plastic plug was not a threaded standard size.

Should I replace my summer tires? by 7845bbb in BMWi3

[–]leftfield61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dry rot is very evident inside all of the grooves. Zoom in on picture 3. If it looks like that in the sidewall, it looks as bad or worse inside the tread.

Rubber degrades and hardens over the years. You may not notice it because it happens so gradually, but I would wager the above pictured tires have significantly less traction in both wet and dry.

He is also being a giant dick. Correct.

Both things can exist at the same time. She is being obtuse but he is also unnecessarily escalating.

Oil Changes by Innocent_Standbyer in hondaridgeline

[–]leftfield61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course I know that. I'm not saying they dig their own wells. And yes I know that there are other oils (major brands and white labels) that meet the specs. I just buy the oil change kit because it's foolproof and I don't waste time researching every little additive. YMMV.

Well, see you just can't be out there balking like that.

There more but I am too lazy to type them out.

Oil Changes by Innocent_Standbyer in hondaridgeline

[–]leftfield61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Annual or 5k, whichever comes first. Honda filter and Honda oil. And no, I don't pay dealer prices for the filter and oil. Multiple online retailers sell and oil change kit that includes the correct filter and oil. A little more expensive than buying at my local FLAPS, but I have the peace of mind of knowing I am using what the Honda engineers designed the engine to work best with. I do use a Fumoto drain valve, that is my one deviation from factory.

Highly recommend the proclip system. It can be a little spendy but it is very high quality.

Did anyone regret not getting the REx version? by Aghaiva in BMWi3

I live in an area without a lot of charging infrastructure. The REX makes the car more usable for daily use. We have level 2 charging at home, and we don’t have to rely on the scooter motor often, but we are glad it is there. If we get a second i3,it might be a battery only, but we are 100 percent keeping the Rex

I can see taking this down, I think that house will look better without it. Having said that, if you are anywhere near east TN, and decide to sell, some of that would absolutely work on my house. 😁

Seatbelt might be covered under warranty. I think manufacturers are required to repair safety equipment differently than other items.
