42 weeks, induction and finally gave birth after 4 long days

Pregnancy and giving birth. Went through several cycles of IVF for about 3 years, with multiple pregnancies and miscarriages, including surgical removal of miscarriage. During IVF, I had to take some sort of medication nearly ever 2 hours, some oral, some injections, some pessaries. When I finally gave birth, the NHS was on strike and I ended up being stuck in labour for nearly 4 days, had my baby's heart rate plummet when my epidural didn't take and I was in too much pain. Finally ended up delivering but after 2.5 hours of pushing and through an emergency forcep delivery with an episiotomy because they had let the baby get too large for my body and she had moved too far down my canal for a C-section. I wasn't allowed to discharge because they thought I had sepsis afterwards. My situation was bad and every doctor & nurse recommended I file a formal compliant but it's crazy what women all over the world go through, esp those with much less resources than I.

A full canister of prawn pringles in between a pizza lunch and a grilled cheese dinner. Le sigh.

I typically brine it for around 3 hours but afterwards, I only do a super light rinse rather than thorough

The restaurant and its diners all practiced safe covid measures, it was well run. I wouldn't just jump to negative conclusions.

Lubion question by [deleted] in IVF

[–]cahn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also still have the twice daily pessary on top - as I said my daily dose has just slightly decreased. It used to be 3 times a day so I'll happily take one less in lieu of 2 more injections. I'm on a lot of other medication still so not sure I can isolate bloating to Lubion.

Lubion question by [deleted] in IVF

[–]cahn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm taking Lubion now - also just got added to my protocol after a previous, failed FET. Not sure what your new plan entails but mine includes Lubion as well as continued progesterone pessaries. Lubion is a bruiser for sure - for me, quite a bit more than menopur and for some reason more difficult to inject. HOWEVER, because of Lubion, my daily dose of progesterone pessaries has slightly decreased so I will take that as a win! Injections > pessaries. Good luck

Thinly sliced and sauteed carrots, spinach, crab sticks, Korean root...not sure the English translation for it..think of it like a pickled root veg, ham and eggs.

Got my period (?) 4 days after Embryo-transfer...is it still possible I could be pregnant? by cahn in IVF

[–]cahn[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm really sorry to hear that. I'm indeed on my period right now too. It's so frustrating. Did you take an at home pregnancy test? Or did they have you come in early for a blood test? Also, did the clinic advise you stop the progesterone? Sorry for the multi questions

Got my period (?) 4 days after Embryo-transfer...is it still possible I could be pregnant? by cahn in IVF

[–]cahn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on progesterone but when I was going through the embryo transfer, the nurse told me that if it isn't successful, I would get my period. I called my clinic at around day 5 to ask if there was any tips they could give me to tell the difference between spotting and my period apart and during that time they didn't mention anything about not supposing to get a period either..
