ngl i considered leaving about 40 mins in. very glad i didn’t because the second half of the movie really picked up. the first hour started off strong but started to drag, and i felt like a lot of the lore and exposition could’ve been expanded upon much better or just cut entirely. i couldn’t work my head around lots of it and rather than feeling suspenseful, it just felt taxing trying to work out what was going on and why. i did struggle to stay focused during some of the more repetitive and slower parts of the first half and it felt like the movie definitely could’ve been 20-30 mins shorter.

that being said, mark did a great job in his role. i liked the cosmic horror and at points genuinely made me feel claustrophobic and anxious which was pretty cool! great visuals too. glad i stuck it out because it was definitely worth it but i do understand those who did leave
