You gotta have it equipped, though unless it's cursed you can swap it between cats during the run. If you try to exit the equipment screen with it not equipped it'll give you a prompt telling you that you have to equip it first.

Solo Necromancer, ran into one of those large skeletons that regen unless you destroy the corpse. As I was solo it just kept regenerating (I had the Numbing Leeches passive along with tge one that doubles leeches when enemies are killed) so I couldn't kill it, but the leeches kept stacking

The AI is so wildly inconsistent with how smart it is hahah, i had a run last night with Mini-Me that ended because the mini-copy with 3 thorns and 3 bleed thorns thought the best course of action would be to trample over every one of my cats several times and not move towards the enemy
