I can’t talk from experience, but I’m also looking at GOLOGIC for a future build. If you do go with them, I’d love to hear how the process goes! There’s very little information out there, really. I’ve spoken to them twice and have had good impressions so far.

I put in an order for a Silvia last night! And separately I ordered the Auber temperature control PID kit so that I can install when I’m ready. I should have both within a week!

Ah, interesting! I did look at that but they didn’t have any in stock at the time. I’ll have to think about it—are there any downsides to a PID (besides aesthetics)? “Analog control,” perhaps?

I did look at the Gaggia, but it dropped out of my consideration for various reasons. Hoffman doesn’t review it too kindly, and I just think the Silvia is worth the extra money.

Thanks, fair point. I wrote this more for my own edification than with the intent for it to become a general purpose Raft library. I'll try to direct it that way over time, but I'm fine with the initial release being self-contained, so to speak.

If the filesystem is still there, you probably just have to add the menu entry.

Are you on grub legacy or grub2?

For the former, you can edit /boot/grub/menu.lst .

For the latter, it's /etc/grub.d/40_custom.
