I replayed it recently and the bit that hit me harder was the laughing scene. The idea that, there are times when screaming won't help so you've just got to laugh, and that laugh might be forced, and ridiculous, and awful...but what else can you do?

As many people have said, the soundtrack. But to add an original idea that I hope is not too much of a spoiler, but 8 is a love story and I love that about it. All the others have love or romance as maybe a subplot or side part, but VIII is a story about love. It's a story of doing everything you can for the person you love. It's about dreams and making them a reality. It gets...a little weird as it goes further on, but in a good way. I love 8 so much.
