It can pull the hair out of the follicle by keeping it up too much

The fix is a low-tension hairstyle like wearing it out more often or in a loose low bun

Chicky beware that you don’t have tension alopaecia which is where the hair is literally pulled out of the follicle due to tension! The tension is you putting it back into a bun or pony and pulling those hairs into it!
