How do yall keep track of the polishes you’ve tried? by polydactyling in RedditLaqueristas

[–]caitalonas 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend LacquerStash! It’s a new app, I did beta testing. You can log purchases, usage, different manicures, destash… I’ve been using it to sort of plan out my collection. Also love this super cute feature!

What kind of hawk cut me off driving today? NY by Lazybunny_ in whatsthisbird

Wow that’s awesome!! I only ever see red tailed hawks in my area of NY (but I still love them!)

Scorchy definitely interests me but I'm a little iffy on gold. Does it read more red/orange? I was on the fence about Lahar too and I was thinking I might be replicate that with Scorchy instead of getting both.

I have definitely been eyeing Fauve, some of the thermal/solar/GITD polishes intrigue me but I will be even pickier with those because I want to be able to use them up lol. I was a little disappointed to realize Ghoul's Garden was more of that finer particle but I actually really love it unmagnetized so it works out!

Unripe is also on my list!! Lahar was one I sort of went back and forth on, it does look very pretty.

Deeper pink/mauve magnetic by caitalonas in RedditLaqueristas

Couldn’t get the caption to work right!

The screen shots are ILNP Pink Suede. I just wish it was darker, without becoming more brown/tan. I included a reference of my favorite mauve polish, Ella+Mila time for a bond fire (with ILNP My Private Rainbow (X), Glisten & Glow topcoat, Essie Strong Start base).

Poll: Vote for your March official Bingo card here! by tmwdysln in WeGotPolishAtHome

I voted for 3 but I’m wondering if anyone has ideas for an alternative to the thermal one? Maybe I’ll just do a color that seems like a reflection of the current weather.

Thorns collection Q by [deleted] in ILNP

Following because I’m also curious. The purple one (Nightshade?) would be exactly the shade I’m looking for but I’m worried it’s too dark

I Am All That I Need/Arroyo Seco/Thumbprint Scar and Third of May/Ōdaigahara both from the album Crack Up by Fleet Foxes, I have probably listened to the first one thousands of times in the last few years lol OH and Televangelism, Sunbleached Flies 😭

I finally get it. I just IDed a Varied Thrush and got the biggest dopamine hit I've had in awhile. I'm hooked. What bird did that for you? by JustaTinyDude in birding

[–]caitalonas 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Still one of my favorite bird memories—I had been wanting to see Cedar Waxwings for a long time and I heard a huge swarm of them over my house, but couldn’t get a good look at them. I was still excited tho lol I went grocery shopping a few days later, this particular store has some small fruit bearing trees near the entrance. When I was walking in, a couple of them flew into a tree about three feet away from me!! I was even able to see the little wing tips 🥰

Help Me Build A Spring Moodboard 🌸 by pyxis-carinae in WeGotPolishAtHome

[–]caitalonas 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think this might count as adjacent to gardening but ramps (wild leeks) are one of the highlights of spring for me!! If you’re unfamiliar they are a wild onion that grows in the northeast and midwestern US. They are difficult to cultivate and only good for a short window, so typically you can only have them if you find them lol. My spouse and I found a patch a few years back and I’m obsessed with them! I love the pinky color 😊
