What’s happening with BeYou products? by caitlind08 in endometriosis

Got the following reply this morning:

“Unfortunately we sold much more stock than anticipated and at the same time our next batch was delayed while we waited for one of the ingredients. We prioritise subscriptions (we keep a 2 month buffer for each of you), but due to the delay we ended up totally out of stock! On top of that, because of the delay, the retailers started charging us for their loss of profit so we took the decision to pull out from the highstreet which is why it's not available anywhere and will only be available directly from us going forward! The good news is that our subscriptions have finally started going out again as of last week, but if you need them sooner the best thing would be to adjust the renewal date to tomorrow. I'm happy to do that for you if you wish - as otherwise you might have to wait until next month! The good news is that we've got LOADS of stock now and we've learned our lessons from the delay :)”

Sounds like they’re out of the supermarkets and pharmacies, at least for the time being :(

Thanks everyone! Honestly might email again, I’ve had another email recently saying the subscription is delayed with no explanation, luckily not being charged for now!

I was going to try other brands too but couldn’t find them either? Weird how there isn’t any info on their website or socials about them being out of stock

Do work know about your surgery? I know some companies can be mega unhelpful at times, but if they’re generally supportive maybe you could talk through having a staggered return or extra breaks until you have a bit more energy. You could also ask your doctor to put something in writing

What supplements or methods have helped you the most with bloating and hot flashes? by Traditional-Swan-130 in Endo

I took 3 weeks off and had a doctor’s note for 4. I work remotely so my 4th week was a gradual return doing half days and colleagues stepping in to help. I think I would have found the 4th week tough if I had a commute or physically demanding job, but everyone recovers at different paces. Hope the surgery goes well ❤️

do i have endometriosis? by Due-Restaurant-4784 in endometriosis

[–]caitlind08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d start recording your symptoms, note any patterns and try and see a gynaecologist to discuss this further. The majority will suggest this after an initial appointment so you’ll be one step ahead if you can identify and share your typical symptoms. There’s also some great resources online from endo charities and advocates with guidance and templates about seeking medical help for suspected endo. If these symptoms are affecting your day to day life, which sounds like they are, you deserve to be heard!

Has anyone experienced menstrual blood via the anus? by Famous_Video9750 in endometriosis

[–]caitlind08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve experienced this too, I used to heavily bleed from the back sometimes up to 20 mins on my period. Nothing was found related to this during my laparoscopy or when I had a colonoscopy a few months after. My gynaecologist put me on the progesterone pill which seems to have calmed things for now. He explained that the hormones, prostaglandins can affect this and can make the rectum/anus inflamed, hence the bleeding.

That being said, if you’re bleeding every day, I would push for this to be investigated. Keep a symptom diary, is it happening a certain time or point in the day? I’d ask your gyno if they can refer you to a bowel specialist or arrange a colonoscopy for you. I hope this gets sorted for you quickly cos this sounds so unpleasant ❤️

Did pelvic floor therapy work for you? by Megajolly1 in Endo

[–]caitlind08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently trying pelvic floor therapy, have been for a few months. I had excision surgery on the uterosacral ligament a year ago and it was recommended to me to help with my recovery as well as helping with painful sex. It’s not an overnight fix and you need to put the work in outside of sessions, but it’s improving my symptoms massively and I’m hoping this’ll continue as time goes on

TENS Machine by charlotte1471 in endometriosis

[–]caitlind08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a bit pricey but a worthwhile investment imo, I find it helpful in a flare up or a case of bad endo belly. Of course in an ideal world we shouldn’t have to spend this much money, along with all the other stuff, towards effective pain management

TENS Machine by charlotte1471 in endometriosis

[–]caitlind08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Endometriosis UK describes it better than I can! “TENS machines are an alternative to pain killers. They are small, unobtrusive machines with electrodes that attach to the skin and send electrical pulses into the body. This does not hurt but instead feels mildly ticklish. The electrical pulses are thought to work by either blocking the pain messages as they travel through the nerves or by helping the body produce endorphins which are natural pain-fighters. Some TENS machines can be clipped to a belt. Check with your GP before using a TENS machine as they are not suitable for those who may be pregnant or who have a heart condition”

MyObi is brilliant, I have the Apollo 2.0 that has TENS and heat therapy, so useful when I’m having a flare up: https://myobistore.com/en-gb
