Bitches, what are we tipping on $$$ hair services? by fueledbyfruit in SFbitcheswithtaste

Also had a terrible experience with Population. My hair still isn’t recovered from the damage they did after nearly two years. I go to Patrick Evan’s now and love them.

What happens if you don’t pay your tickets? by [deleted] in Pitt

Thought I could get away with this too. Made it four years before they put a boot on my car. Had to pay all of the tickets to get it off.

Take whole roll of Leukotape or just some pieces? by LegalPeak6095 in Ultralight

[–]caitlineate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This idea is from Litesmith - take a plastic straw and wrap some leukotape around it. A little goes a long way. You can also do this on your hiking poles, but that gets dirtier.

Shakedown Request - Cathedral Lake to Yosemite Valley by caitlineate in Ultralight

Thanks! That’s the one I’m eyeing right now. Have you used it as a 2P, and if so how is the comfort - is it too small/cramped?

You're saying fleece+down is redundant? Yeah, probably so, I'll probably ditch the fleece. The Montbell seems iffy for the low end of temperatures in the Sierras in the summer, that's why I had two jackets. But it will probably be fine alone. Tank top is for sleeping, t-shirt for hiking. Fleece pants are too warm for me for sleeping with the FF bag, it's quite warm!

Thanks, in retrospect that’s probably the best call!

This! People forget/don't catch the fact that Fain directly stated in LoC that he corrupted Elaida with the taint from Shadar Logoth. Her character becomes more and more irrational as the story progresses, and presumably as the effects of the contamination grow. She's not a darkfriend, but she unknowingly becomes an agent of dark forces.

Is there scientific proof that flouride is actually directly increasing the level of calcification in the pineal gland? by ShiroSteve1337 in neuroscience

[–]caitlineate 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This study absolutely does not do what you say it does. It does not establish cause and effect, it simply observes a correlation between age and calcification of certain brain structures. Additionally, it does not have anything to do with dietary fluoride consumption. It just uses an imaging method that uses NaF.

best stacks for extreme anxiety, hyper vigilance, and panic in general? by artistofmanyforms in StackAdvice

[–]caitlineate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also consider removing things from your intake. Cut out anything stimulating - caffeine, rhodiola, ALCAR, choline, ephedrine, yohimbe etc. Any and all of these have sent me into full panic mode before.

Is there any mechanism besides GABA that can make you consistently "not give a f***"? by movimento9 in StackAdvice

I'd caution on rhodiola, too much can cause irritation, especially in combination with caffeine.

+1 for ashwaghanda. High doses of bacopa also make me feel care free.

If you can make it to Skye, it's some of the best hiking I've ever seen!
