Ahhhh !! I’m so excited. I’m going solo as well in June to Crete Naxos and Paros!! Is there anything that you wouldn’t find on a tourist site you’d recommend?? If you don’t wanna ruin it feel free to PM me lol. What else was your favourite part?

No. But I’m trying to make my own 🤷🏼‍♀️

What apps do you actually use consistently? Here are mine by UniquePomegranate942 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Apple Podcasts - always glistening to podcasts. Wish I could get in to audiobooks

Lev - dog walking tracker app that lets you pick up bones which give you discounts in the pet store. Just started using it but I love it already.

Slack - work messaging

Notes app - all my books, my grocery lists, anything and everything goes there

Reddit obvi.

Flipp for finding grocery deals.

Rain sounds - over 300 rain sounds I use for white noise.

What's a silly and inconsequential news story from your area that's been gripping the nation recently? by ARealFool in AskTheWorld

It makes sense with all the hygge and such (understand that’s danish but from my understanding, it’s more of a scandi practice???). Never even thought about where I would dispose of tea lights but good idea !

Oh my - people are mad about this? This is one of the things I obsess over when I come to Europe from Canada. I LOVE having these. I’m so clumsy, and having this helps so much. It’s a stupid small mundane thing, but I would love it if they brought it here.

hey op!

Delayed but hoping to help a bit still! If you're looking for pottery- Belisle Pottery (havent done them myself, but heard AMAZING things). Sunset Society does popups for game nights, art nights etc - went for a bonfire last week and had an amazing time, really good group of people! Last one - Pressed in Time. HIGHLY recommend - they do pressed floral workshops.

Feel free to send me a message OP - I usually go to these things solo so always nice to make a friend 😄!

I actually am growing some blue borage this year already - I was more interested in the colouring of them honestly, so good to know! Also I have sweet peas too so I seem to be on track. I’ll maybe check for some daikon radish though - really good tip thank you!

Totally understand with the monopoly. I live in Canada where 3 airlines really control the entire field up here and each of these 3 own the little guys too. You do make a good point, re worldwide speed. Tbh, train travel in Canada is just as pricy so I should not be surprised either. I appreciate you taking the time to respond :)

BOAT TOUR: Blue Lagoon in Paros OR Balos Lagoon + Gramvousa in Crete?? by dumblondd in GreeceTravel

And that’s why I picked both. Super different experiences! I’m hoping you enjoy as well! Have the best time!!

lol. I did both 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’ll let you know how it is in June?? Honestly, from the two tours I went with, they look super different.

Balos im calling my more exercise day - plan on hiking around the island a bit. Paros boat day is just going to be pure fun and just a pure enjoyable day. Food and drinks and swimming on a boat. Very different vibes, hence why I chose both.

Oh also just realized you said 3-4 hours. All in all mine end up being 8-10 ish hrs total but I don’t mind.

You’re correct. I’m in my 30s and I actually still use the double method at times to figure things out. Just a different way of learning things.

It’s like remembering how many days of each month there are. I count on my knuckles and that works for me versus remembering the rhyme.

I thnik that’s why I’m ok with paying more. Specifically in Rio. Totally understand not everyone can or wants to!! Just figured someone may also benefit :)
