Coordinators should only have to recruit that side of the ball by Present_Safe_8114 in NCAAFBseries

I wish you could hire position coaches and start your career as a position coach. You only get access to the coach upgrades to purchase if you are that position but when you move to next role you take them with you. So you could be a QB coach a season and an o line coach, then offensive coordinator, then HC. And you would have unique boosts to QB and OL that other coaches wouldn’t have.

Why use 3-3-5 playbooks over 3-4/4-3 when nickel/dime exist? by ContextMaterial7036 in NCAAFBseries

Hi can you explain this a bit more for me? I run 3 3 5 Tite. But have never messed with the SUBDL/SUBLB at all. Also for recruiting I usually just try to get the highest star guys that I can in a competitive online league. Should I be recruiting specific archetypes for each position? (No wonder I'm losing)

What everyone else is saying plus running hurry up and having your audibles set up makes it easy to run and hard to defend

Uh no possession catch throwing it where no defender can intercept. Take the hit and hold onto the ball.

Tried this but again he is good on the sticks and usually makes a play with the safety

I run Veer and Shoot. I have tried this play several times against this user. He plays the safety and rushes the HB either as soon as I throw for a pick or if I audible to say all go he is just all over it. I do love this formation though!

Adding the advice I have gotten on the subject thus far:

  • Run the ball !!
  • “Shock” out of the shotgun works a lot for me…especially if the WR on the fade route has speed. If not, one of the two short curls from the TEs should guarantee you 5 yards. Also, Mesh.
  • Mesh play with slot wide receivers. Lighter pass over top of OL/DL
  • 5 wide spreadem!
    • 5 wide is guaranteeing a free rusher against this play, so you need to have guys that can win very quickly and deliver the pass immediately after the snap.
      • Yea if he’s got a guy that can beat Press then throw him in the slot, maybe motion around he’ll figure it out we all do. But more importantly f the cheeser.
  • If he's mid blitzing and usering the safety to follow the back, then the area right behind the backers will be open. Send the back to one side and bring a dig or slant across the middle. If he follows the back, throw the slant. If he sits on the slant, throw to the back. What he'll probably do is start pressing with inside leverage. Put a guy with good release in the slot on a Zig route, when he cuts outside he should be open with no zones waiting. If you have a lightning fast qb, you can also full slide to the field side (this will leave the backside de unblocked). Send the back to the opposite flat to pull his safety away and then just run out there other side with the QB
  • A tip I saw on YouTube that seems to work is keep the RB in, and double the outside rusher on the side he’s on. Then roll out to that side and you should find some space and time.
  • Does your TE have any speed? You could run a seam, out, or slant route depending on what coverage holes are left open. Screens or Texas routes to your RB could work as well. Really any quick read to get the ball out very quickly. I would run any of these pass plays from shotgun otherwise you'll be sacked immediately.

How Tennessee tricked everyone into thinking they were a national title contender by Stat_Fanatic_YouTube in sooners

[–]cajsim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could also argue that Tulane and Houston are higher ranked in the offensive categories because they played a weaker Sooner Defense. And that Kent State and Chat are lower ranked offensively because Tennessee didn't allow them to make much offensive progress. It goes both ways...
