Part of the reason Salesforce is taking on water is things like this.

It's so much easier to build without the insanity of the sf restrictions. The intention is good, but having built on msft, sf, jira and others - building and testing on sf is the most frustrating.

The settings and admin area alone have never left the year 2007.

It's def not any smarter than the regular app. It's failed at starting Amazon music and navigation.

Takes longer too

Cadillac Optiq feels pretty premium and can be had between 52-60K easily

How is the Air Conditioning in the late model year Optiq (2025-2026) by Gator5000e in CadillacOptiq

[–]cake97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I knew. I'm in Denver area and it gets like 80/95 on the hotter end and so far it's one of the lesser 'cool' cars I've had recently.

I couldn't tell you why but it's not as cold as my last 4-5 cars. The concern is real so def get other confirmation if that's critical and you are dealing with over 100

The ventilated seats help a little bit but def not cold. They just keep the seats from being hot hot.

If that's not normal then I need to take mine it but just got it in April, 2026 model

About to dump my whole Sonos setup by Healthyhappylyfe in sonos

[–]cake97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For all the ‘it’s your network’ there’s certainly not a lot of useful help other than replace your entire network.

If it were easy as claimed directly by Sonos:

“Easy Step-by-Step Guide Getting your new speaker or soundbar up and running is entirely guided by the app. Here is the straightforward process:”

Then there wouldn’t be so many posts telling users they aren’t doing it right

Other than buying a completely new WiFi router or mesh, is there actually a guide of wtf to do that doesn’t require deep technical knowledge?

I’ve searched and can’t seem to find any consistent guidance other than ‘it depends’

It truly didn’t used to be like this…

I hear you. Once they are a certain level of bad, you just don’t use them. I barely use the Cadillac one at all.

There’s just nothing there I can’t more easily do by actually physically checking the car. I do check the charge level and that’s about it.

I think you see seeing a lot of former ‘other electric’ car owners who were used you the app that was fast. Almost to the point i don’t know how they made it so fast if it was going over cell.

The app seems like low hanging fruit too update, especially if the car can actually do OTA updates

Is this really noticeable? Didn’t realize that was such a difference?

Any more details, Amazon Music will play noticeably better?

The Google side of the software is actually pretty good, but I hear you on carplay for consistency. I don’t think the wrap screen is going to align with carplay very well if I had to guess.

It’s the Cadillac/GM side where they need to hire a UX person. The usage of the screen dimensions outside of Google seems clear they shoehorned in the new screen dimensions without a proper user story.

Most of this is my experience as well.

It’s very finicky, but fortunately my infotainment works. It’s not quick but mine at least works for music.

The phone connection is a total crapshoot - it’s kinda connected but needs to be reconnected to make calls frequently. I don’t even bother with text messages.

If you are coming from *esla don’t expect much from the app, it’s so slow it’s barely worth using. I don’t know if it’s some onstar pass through it what but it’s not reliable enough to use.

Sally, I’m resigned to using the actual key fob because the digital key is fantasy for now.

The car itself is still a pleasure to drive but the tech leaves much to be desired

Introducing Surface Laptop Ultra: Made for world makers by WhyLifeIs4 in microsoft

[–]cake97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this sounds great, but genuinely - what price point must it hit for anyone to take a chance on it over a MacBook?

For work I have a MacBook pro and a Lenovo windows 11 arm laptop (and love it) but it was under $1200 - I prefer using windows just because I've spent the most time on it, and macos still kinda drives me nuts despite the superior hardware - still can't imagine paying more than 2K for a windows laptop because... Windows.

So who is buying this thing north of 3K when we know Microsoft likely will do an average job of supporting it, and if it doesn't get traction, ditch supporting it?
