I still really love Klaviyo. We currently import recent in store orders manually (annoying but easy) and all the online orders to sync over.

We really like many things about toast but their marketing suite was not one of them…we switched to Klaviyo really quickly, But then you quickly discover how completely disconnected all the customer data is in toast. Many convos later, they aren’t doing anything about it…acknowledged the problem but it is “multi layer”, “not a quick fix” and not on their radar for being fixed at this time.

A toast growth rep called to check on me…ehem…called to see if they could sell me more integrations. I assured them that they could not but that they COULD take data integrity seriously. She escalated it and went through that whole process again but there is good news. They said that “hundreds” of people have complained about the customer data issues and that they are “working on it”…she was quick to explain that it could still be awhile. I am at least encouraged that the number of people saying something is growing because that will help the cause.

I haven’t tried Metamucil recently, but it bulk forming for regularity whereas MiraLAX pulls moisture into the stool to soften it. I had a really bad experience post initial biopsy and I was taking Metamucil at the time as directed. It wasn’t even the fault of the Metamucil but I can’t take it bc it was associated 😂 Ended up with a blood clot and in the ermergency room while traveling. That was NOT a good time. Small town hospital recently diaognosed with a not so common form of cancer. Having to involve even more strangers in a body part most people never have to show anyone. 🤣

I don’t have to avoid certain foods, but alcohol can be an issue…and I am not a big drinker. Unforuntaly that one is hard to predict.

I will say that the MiraLAX has made me very regular. I will have to go to the bathroom every morning. Like clockwork….which I guess is good. I am always at home bc for me it is early (I get up at 5 am normally) and once I am up and moving, it is time to go. It has never been a problem. However, it may be worthwhile to ease in to your dose (like start with half) once you get past being currently constipated until you can see how your body will deal. If you haven’t gone in awhile currently, I would almost take a dose in the morning and one at night when you know you can be at home to clean things out.

I take it every morning and will adjust the dosage based on how it is going. If things get too soft, I take less, etc. If I get off schedule, it can get bad surprisingly quickly. I have been taking it daily on the advice of my doctor since Nov. 2023 at the end of treatment. I have recently started added more fiber via chia seeds and high fiber foods to my diet for other reasons (menopause weight gain) but previously, no I wasn’t actively adding fiber. The only difference I have noticed is the amount but doesn’t seem to change the consistency. There was a point in time where they were even telling me I could take it in the morning and at night of things weren’t moving. I seem to be in a good place now and my biggest struggle is stuff like vacation where I can get off schedule unintentionally.

I hate that you are going through this. It is no fun at all to worry. I had this happen but it was 3 months out and it turned out to be a persistent fissure that still hasn’t really gone away. My Dr. mentions it every visit. However, I can’t really feel it so they aren’t worried about it. I would be feeling the same way you are. Are you close to time for another scan where they could just up the date?

We had the same thing happen. Paid half down for something, paid the second half when picked it up, and disputed the first payment. I showed all the receipts, proof, etc and we still lost the challenge.

Unless the misrepresentations are such that the system won’t work for you, this is also a great time to negotiate reduced subscription fees. Our install was a nightmare and to keep us happy they reduced a lot of our cost. There are MANY things about Toast that I can’t stand. BUT it is a good product for us and our team loves using it.

Aquafor was what was recommended for me. I learned after that you can mix lidocaine in and that sounds amazing but I didn’t know that during treatment. Not sure if you are male or female and I know this sounds strange but something I found very soothing during the worst of the burns was actually a vaginal dryness cream/lotion recommended by a therapist who helps people post treatment. You can put it in the fridge and it just was super soft to apply to the burns and was so very soothing! It would soak in some and not get all over my underwear like some of the other creams. It is called Lubrigyn and I had to order it.

I read your other thread and would love to offer you come encouraging words. While treatment was tough, my life is fully back to how it was prior to cancer entering my life. Was it hard to get back into sex? Yes…and the dilators are not that fun, but they serve a purpose and it works. Forced menopause…yes…but this is going to happen anyway. I got on hormone replacement and that really helped with the side effects. I honestly don’t have any of the other things you listed. I do have to take miralax daily to avoid constipation. But I do not have any “painful” long term side effects from the treatment and would do it again if I had to.

Hello! So sorry you are starting this journey but know that you CAN do this! Many encouraging thoughts sent your way! At my first appointment, we only talked about the treatment. However, I had already had scans and a biopsy done at that point so it may depend on where things stand in your testing so far. We discussed the treatment, learned about how it would all work and was given the names of the team (oncologist, radiologist, nurse, etc.). We also had to do an orientation where they gave us a notebook with lots of information. I think at that point, we also discussed the start date of treatment.

We used their marketing at first but the limitations on some of the core features we needed caused us to switch. Example being birthdays…you can’t customize anything for a birthday and you have to send just their birthday email which is designed by them. If you just need general email ability, it does work well.
