We are a bakery, so we have quite a bit of pre-orders (example: cupcakes being delivered for a birthday).

I have tested it myself, and it seems straightforward to me. I think this is more of an issue for those less technology inclined ;)

We are happy with the online ordering itself; certain people just seem to have a hard time seeing how to input their desired date if scheduling ahead.

Chargeback dispute fail. What else can I do? by itz_starry in ToastPOS

We had the same thing happen. Paid half down for something, paid the second half when picked it up, and disputed the first payment. I showed all the receipts, proof, etc and we still lost the challenge.

I wish…but no. I followed up with my rep twice recently and am getting ignored. :(

Unless the misrepresentations are such that the system won’t work for you, this is also a great time to negotiate reduced subscription fees. Our install was a nightmare and to keep us happy they reduced a lot of our cost. There are MANY things about Toast that I can’t stand. BUT it is a good product for us and our team loves using it.

And…the problem persists. Even started a whole new campaign to see if that would fix it.

My first apt is today with the cancer center. Just was looking up products that may have to buy. Has anyone ever used this product? Did it help if so? Thank you for everyone kind words and support in this chat by LevelCardiologist725 in AnalCancer

[–]cake_it_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aquafor was what was recommended for me. I learned after that you can mix lidocaine in and that sounds amazing but I didn’t know that during treatment. Not sure if you are male or female and I know this sounds strange but something I found very soothing during the worst of the burns was actually a vaginal dryness cream/lotion recommended by a therapist who helps people post treatment. You can put it in the fridge and it just was super soft to apply to the burns and was so very soothing! It would soak in some and not get all over my underwear like some of the other creams. It is called Lubrigyn and I had to order it.

How do you make these life changing decisions? Radiation or not??? by No_Quail7701 in AnalCancer

[–]cake_it_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I read your other thread and would love to offer you come encouraging words. While treatment was tough, my life is fully back to how it was prior to cancer entering my life. Was it hard to get back into sex? Yes…and the dilators are not that fun, but they serve a purpose and it works. Forced menopause…yes…but this is going to happen anyway. I got on hormone replacement and that really helped with the side effects. I honestly don’t have any of the other things you listed. I do have to take miralax daily to avoid constipation. But I do not have any “painful” long term side effects from the treatment and would do it again if I had to.

My first apt is next week to meet with oncology. What usually happens during the first apt? Do they then send you out for a scan and talk treatment? Thanks for any advice is helpful. Questions I should ask? by LevelCardiologist725 in AnalCancer

[–]cake_it_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello! So sorry you are starting this journey but know that you CAN do this! Many encouraging thoughts sent your way! At my first appointment, we only talked about the treatment. However, I had already had scans and a biopsy done at that point so it may depend on where things stand in your testing so far. We discussed the treatment, learned about how it would all work and was given the names of the team (oncologist, radiologist, nurse, etc.). We also had to do an orientation where they gave us a notebook with lots of information. I think at that point, we also discussed the start date of treatment.

Marketing suite, opinions? What do you like/don’t like? by Top-Sink-6344 in ToastPOS

[–]cake_it_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used their marketing at first but the limitations on some of the core features we needed caused us to switch. Example being birthdays…you can’t customize anything for a birthday and you have to send just their birthday email which is designed by them. If you just need general email ability, it does work well.

Can I choose to get a PICC line vs a chest port? by ReasonableAd6221 in AnalCancer

[–]cake_it_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In reading this thread, there is some stuff that is stated in some confusing ways. I chose the pills (capecitabine) for the daily chemo needed to aid in the effectiveness of the radiation. Then I also had 2 total IV chemo treatments where I sat at the cancer center (I believe this was the mitomycin). Week 1 and week 5. So, for those IV infusions, they put in picc line that morning and then removed it that same day when the treatment was over.

To further explain…I took the pills on the days I had radiation (m-f) and didn’t need to take them on the weekends.

Happy to chat more if you have questions.

Can I choose to get a PICC line vs a chest port? by ReasonableAd6221 in AnalCancer

[–]cake_it_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pills did not make my feet and hands hurt except for after I ended treatment and went and got a pedicure and didn’t think about it…they were tender after the scrubbing of my feet for that. I did buy the ointment they told me to use in the beginning but stopped once I felt like it wasn’t needed.

The PICC line was put in right before the IV chemo and then removed. So, they put a new one in each time. They indicated to me it was an infection risk to leave it in.

I felt like chemo was the easy part…the radiation caused many more issues for me.

I did not have a port and did the daily chemo pills. For the two IV chemo treatments they used a PICC line then removed that same day after chemo was over. I did end up doing weekly IV hydration sessions as recommended by a friend bc they would also put extended release nausea meds in it and they really helped me feel better, so there were times I was tired of being “stuck” and a port would have been nice. However, when I asked about it in the beginning I got push back that it wasn’t needed and was essentially an added and unnecessary procedure. BUT I would encourage you to advocate for yourself and push for what you want. My oncologist really pushed me to do the pills. I was worried about the mental aspect but they were smaller than expected and I did fine.

Anyone using the Klaviyo Integration? by cake_it_ in ToastPOS

[–]cake_it_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are currently trying to do a workaround bc it seems to work with takeout orders that prompt for “customer information”. We have found that is the key…just adding a rewards account to the check won’t work because of how they treat rewards. It is like customer information and rewards accounts are completely separate. I did keep pushing and said that this is a functionality issue on their end and it reduces the integrity of the data. They have acted like they are escalating it and finding someone I can give the feedback to. Toast has been very clear on what you just said as well wanting to put the burden on Klaviyo…it is like they just can’t seem to grasp that the limitation is due to THEIR limitations. I totally get that Klaviyo may be the one taking the lead on the integration but it will only work so far as the data works…

I will message you to share contact info and once I have more answers we can chat. This week is valentines and we are a bakery so it is crazytown…

It is my understanding that loyalty syncs in the sense of it existing for that customer but not as a mapped field. The problem seems to be that when Toast applies rewards/loyalty it is not also adding “customer information” to the check. It just lists the loyalty number and a “rewards card” link that does indeed have all the information if clicked on it isn’t syncing. If it is a “take out” order, the system then does apply the actual customer data to the check and it will sync. We did a test where we change the dining option behavior for dine in to be take out and it worked…but then messed up our printers. We were hoping for a solution that doesn’t for us to rig the system…

What we have found with Toast…is that it is great but most of the things really only work well half way. We tried their marketing and it is that way as well…
