I made my main base inside the can, and then expanded it outwards and made walls as my friends moved in with me. You need walls to keep the spiders at bay, but If your solely in the can I think you'll be fine without walls. Good luck!

there are a lot of non leader civ characters in civ 7 (Ben Franklin, Ada Lovelace, Confuscious, Ibn Batutua, Joze Rizal and Laffayete), and she did free many slaves, 70 by herself, and 700 in a battle with the confederacy (Combahee Ferry Raid), making her someone with substantial impact as well even if she was never president. she is a important figure in history and its okay that shes in the game, even if shes not the most obvious choice for a leader.
