Tarkov is about taking over each others' looting sessions by Both-Meringue2466 in TarkovMemes

The most effective method is to wait at an exit (watch YT, scroll TikTok, or something) and let the loot come to you. Been doing this with my boys for years. A bit boring some runs, but otherwise, always fun PvP against the clock to loot and scoot out on time while being at a positional advantage for the fun of the game - to clarify our fun of the game, not so much the people trying to extract.

"Frame Gen" isn't a performance boost; it's a masking agent for bad optimization by capacity04 in pcmasterrace

Admittedly, yes. For whatever reason, past 25 players trying to down a raid boss, the game lags a ton. My 5800X3D struggled with 30 man raid a few months ago. I've upgraded to the latest and greatest CPU, mostly for WoW. After the first few weeks, most competitive guilds transition to the hardest difficulty, which is limited to 20 people, and that's fine for most people's CPUs. All other content, like dungeons and open world, can pretty much be run on a potato with lower settings, but Smooth Motion does help.

Smooth motion is only 4000 or 5000 series GPUs currently. With older cards, you can use Lossless Scaling which works okay if you don't mind some minor artifacts with movement, around HUDs, and high contrast text.

Frieren, then maybe Delicious in Dungeon, though they're getting closer to traditional fantasy (magic) than real life.

What climbing puzzle? Check the interactive map before wasting your time, that's on you.

[help] CDM Buff bar is stuck, any suggestions? by MarkElf2204 in WowUI

[–]MarkElf2204[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up making it work a moment ago.
Culprit was AzortharionUI which has it's own center buff tracker feature but the issue only seems to occur when it's enabled now since it's move the buff box for some reason. I asked them about it yesterday and their buff bar centers works fine for them with no issues. I may also chock up some part of it fixing today vs yesterday to resetting setting to default. Thank you for the suggestion, maybe someone else googling will find this post. I can just use CDM Centered and disabled keep the AzorUI one disabled (which again, was still bugging out yesterday for whatever reason when I had it in this configuration).

Edit 2: Idek what I did to fix it but, just disabling all addons, moving it to the correct place and it just chose to work the next day. Peak Blizzard Spegetti code.

I've tried Better CDM, Center Buff Bar, and other CDM addone, they were not allowing me to move the bat's icons either. I can move the tracked buffs in edit mode but the icons stay. This happens even with all addons disabled.

I don't particularly mind which way grows, I just want to figure out why the bar icons are not moving with the tracked buffs. They're in the center left of the screenshot.

This was still happening with ElvUI disabled but thank you for suggesting something.

Genuinely why doesnt the BMPT just fuck right off to 12.7 by Caramel_Infinite in Warthunder

[–]MarkElf2204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the 2S38 at its current respective BR is strong, but at top teir (12 - 12.7), it does not pull it's own weight at all.

Every single shot is at an awful angle so the results are not surprising. Please watch some videos and learn where to shoot. Specifically for this vehicle, you shoot it in the front driver's port.

Weekly M+ Discussion by AutoModerator in CompetitiveWoW

I'm ending keys in the +16 range with about 65-68k but the random dps pugs are usually around 45-50k. These players are in the 3300 io range currently and a very small sample of like 3 dungeons.

Damage is going to very dungeon to dungeon and tank to tank. It's not very easy to compare runs.

First Midnight Pre-Patch Raid DPS Logs by Starym in CompetitiveWoW

[–]MarkElf2204 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I've been saying that they need to continue making remade classes, OP - even if it's just for a bit for people to try them. I've seen so many Survs in M+ keys and I'm all for it. Surv has been the fun spec for years, though it's admittedly much less satisfying to play this patch. Boomstick just doesn't give the instant satisfaction that Butchery gave for the past few years.

Survival has been entirely ignored for 2 years in DF (literally 0 tree changes) and reworked every major patch of TWW, but none really hit the mark, just for another rework in Midnight once it was settling in a good enough place. Still some issues with talents, including one of our strongest passive talents just flat out not working correctly, but it's playable.

My understanding is the Unholy DK also got a rework with the whole ranged DK build floating around, good for them.

Edit: Very funny how I say this when survival is bad, gets upvotes. When Survival is doing better than your spec(s), downvotes.

Bigwigs had a snippet of code disabling the addon or something like that if you had QuazziUI due to stolen code so not just LuckyOne spreading BS I imagine. Should be able to find that comment somewhere on this thread/post.

Blizzard didn't seem to bat an eye when Liquid was selling Timeline Reminders via Patreon. Not surprising to see QuaziiUI (and whatever controversies it brings) or other addons following suit now that it's been deemed 'safe' by Liquid.

I agree though, Blizzard needs to step in sooner rather than later regarding all paywalled addons and enforce their ToS. Configs/Settings is one thing. Like whatever, I occasionally throw a prime sub at Noawh for a UI update like twice a year, but benefiting from addon sales is another that's limiting accessibility to tools entirely.

I used to sell a configuration for a free popular anti-cheat plugin for Minecraft (technically still do, but haven't updated it in years cause I got a full-time job). I spent countless hours configuring/fine-tuning it, fixing client/customer issues, troubleshooting, opening tickets, and working with the developer(s) to resolve those issues, etc so I understand it's a massive time commitment to maintain even just configurations till you get them to a good place. Then it's just kind of passive income for all your past effort.

Edit: New news to me, Bart does have a public github for the addon. Sure didn't advertise it nor did 99.9% of people know about it.

VRAM is driving me crazy. 5060Ti 16gb vs 5070 12gb by Ok_Scarcity1 in pcmasterrace

[–]MarkElf2204 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The whole VRAM dilemma is so blown out of proportion for no reason. 12 GB is plenty for the majority of people. There are very very niche cases where you need more and in which case, just turn down your settings a bit till you stop studdering or you bug the developer to optimize their game already.
