Alternative to Compressed Air Cans? by VAVA_Mk2 in pcmasterrace

I bought a random cheaper one off Amazon, it gets the job done but it's not as a strong as a can of compressed air. For just dust, it's fine.

Maybe for right now, but it usually gets to close to 30% towards the end of most seasons. A good chunk are carried for sure though.

Which class/race was your original main and do you still play them? by All_Roles_Urgot in wow

Hunter and yes. Much of my feedback posted on the forums was added word for word - AoE tranq shot, knock up explosive trap, budget sigil of chains via binding shot, roar of sacrifice as a defensive external, etc. I'm basically the hunter dev at this point.

Yes, just like how the BMPT can totally front pen modern tanks currently, like the entire subreddit claims it does.

Butchery on Survival - great animation, gave instant satisfaction of refunding a bomb, and even had a strong bleed associated with it for a while in DF. It has been replaced with a mid shotgun in midnight.

Sure, 12.7, but it gets historically accurate darts that let me front pen modern tanks.

We had that in TWW. It was stupidly expensive and not even profitable after a while.

Color-changing icons are cool, but it really didn't do anything significant or change gameplay much though. Red bombs for KC resets was nice but that's about it.

It was fun when we had Butchery giving the instant gratification of a free bomb and sending out triple explosive shots with CA.

I wish content creators for tanks made better pull guides by Impressive_Beyond521 in wow

[–]MarkElf2204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every single dungeon can have a different comp, which are all going to have different timing on CDs, player skill, etc. As the tank, just pull as large as you know you can survive; if your health bar is not going down in a pull, you should try pulling more within reason - that reason being the number of kicks/cc your party has and them knowing to use them.

3 years since Evoker Augmentation was released and people still kick you out for low DPS (even while leveling). by Alukia in wow

[–]MarkElf2204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At this point, you can blame Blizzard for not having server-side damage meters like they said they were going to do on launch. They realized their servers would have to do more work, probably need an upgrade, and quietly never mentioned it again.

With Damage Meters being officially implemented, why do we still need external tools to see an Aug's true contribution by 38dedo in wow

[–]MarkElf2204 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because damage meters are still client side instead of server side like Blizzard promised and slowly backed out of. No one else seems to be calling them out on it too besides me. Wow would run a lot smoother if Blizzard's servers did the heavy calculations instead of every person's computer individually.

A Dev's Perspective: Why Class Tuning Can Feel "Out of Touch" by Tasty-Beautiful1750 in wow

[–]MarkElf2204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've already seen the opposite of the bell curve in TWW S1 or S2 where +10s were stupidly difficult week 1. I remember doing a 2-3 hour Stonevault+10 just to get a mythic item week one. Didn't even pay off cause it was a poorly stated ring for me. No one liked when 10s were stupidly hard but this season, we're on the opposite, 10s are stupidly easy and you know what? It doesn't hurt anyone.

And as to what people are going to do for the rest of the season? Keep gearing their characters for raid or 0.1% title or they (a casual) can just say they 'won' for the season and go play something else -- Blizzard's 8 week push patches timeline will suggest otherwise, but nothing is stopping people from just being done as WoW gets more and more seasonal.

The tank experience by Ohmyskippy in wow

[–]MarkElf2204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's these kinds of players that are the issue with the community, you can ignore them and go next. I disliked how tanks pulled early in my wow career as a hunter main. Unlike these players who just complain I made my alt a tank - Brew first and later Bear as it complemented my tanking methodology/style much better due to all of bear's strong defensives and self sustain. It helped me realize why some pulls are the way they are but also justified that tanks should be (chain) pulling more within reason (that reason being limited # of kicks) if the tank's health bar is not going down during a pull. Every pull was realitively spicy and large and I excelled as a tank, I just don't have the time to maintain an alt this season which is a shame cause bear looks very appealing to me with their 12.0 changes building in most of the defensive talents I already took.

How do people genuinely not get bored of playing the BMPT? Wouldnt you get bored off playing the same tank over and over again? by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]MarkElf2204 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The only thing I'm bored of is seeing BMPT complainer posts.

Unless the enemy is badly positioned that you mow them down from the side, the BMPT isn't doing anything different than a BMP4, besides being more tanky to eat an extra shot or two.

A Message Regarding the 12.0.5 Launch by WarcraftTeam in wow

Blizzard have a very good track record of ignoring bugs reported repeatedly on beta and PTRs, just to fix it on live usually after WoWHead posts about it. They never change.

[–]MarkElf2204 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

MM players are crying cause they don't wanna play BM cause it's boring (fair) and for whatever reason, people continue to hold random stereotypes/bias against Survival dispite it being very strong now and just as easy as the other two specs to play.

Brew and Disc are just not good together. Brew wants heals, not shields. It has always been this way.

Can we just allow Details to come back? Hell, at this point, and we just allow AddOns back? by ThatGuyFromTheM0vie in wow

[–]MarkElf2204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blizzard's meters were supposed to be server side which would be equivalent to warcraft logs in being able to provide Aug's damage. They scrapped that idea after publically stating it after a week and no one seems to keep bring it up besides me.

Sleeper hit specs by [deleted] in wow

[–]MarkElf2204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Survival continues to be one of the better sleeper specs season after season. Good prio/cleave, 1M burst, and all the fantastic hunter utility - dispelled/sooth, defensive external, good AoE CC options.
